Nevermind their hostile, dangerous landscapes and abhorrent abuse of human rights! Because how dare PSN block those regions out of corporate greed.
Yeah, 3 Baltic states are definitely hostile and dangerous places that Sony forgot the ban the first time so they had to make 2nd ban wave just for them.

... The real sad part is that corporate greed prevents China from being blocked as well, but we make do with what we get.
ah yes, the great fascist dictatorship of estonia

I have no opinions over how living in Vietnam is right now. I simply acknowledge its current system is what my system views as oppressive. And thus, we choose not to do business with them (well, we do, unfortunately).

Calling Sony greedy, however, by not supplying PSN to it is a bit funny though. Though, honestly. I don't think Sony did so out of some moral and ethical decision, but rather due to Vietnam likely having conditions and issues that would prevent Sony from retaining private control over PSN in said country.

Vietnam has a massive history of human rights violations. Unlike a lot of the other countries though, it's fairly safe for tourism! They're just horrid to their own people.

I guess that's good?
LOL USA teach Viet Nam about human rights violations. The one they make up themselves. LOL.

You're welcome to find any other country in the world that view Vietnam as good and safe.
Well since all of Europe, and North America happily keeps positive trade and diplomatic relations with them I'd have to say quite a few tbh

No, it's just proof that you don't actually care about those countries, and are doing this either out of generic hatred for a company, or because you're in support of a place like Venezuela.

Yes me pointing out that Sony did a banwave specially to ban the great facist dictatorships of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia is just because I hate Sony and definitly not because im appalled by them baning the game in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. /s

You better be paid good for this shilling otherwise its just sad.

The US and Europe trade with China and have traded with Russia in the past. And Iraq. And Syria.

Please provide any website/data that shows Vietnam as not being highly rated on the human rights violation list.

And we're back to the Red Herring.

As I told you before in other discussions, you're welcome to make your own post arguing for the freedom of countries that should be included on Helldivers. Instead of arguing the lowest common denominator. Because between banning Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan, Venezuela, Libya, etc... or freeing the Baltic states... I'm going to side on the banning them. Sorry.

Thank god we have Sony to spread democracy one ban at a time. Definitely nothing to do with them trying to pinch pennies by cheaping out on consumer support in small countries.

Strawman. Non sequitur.

If anything, SONY is a company and should want everyone's money. And as I said, I don't trust they chose not to have PSN in certain countries because of some moral grandstanding, but rather because those countries (fascist dictatorships) tend to want to be able to monitor the data of their citizens through private corporations. Which usually means said companies won't provide full online support to those countries.

A company being greedy wouldn't be like "Oh yeah, let's not make as much money as we can by not providing our business everywhere!"

We are in a thread talking about Sonies decision to ban the game in the majority of the countries because they couldnt be arsed to offer PSN support there.

And yet somehow Sonies reasons behind that decision are somehow suddenly a

"Strawman. Non sequitur."

AHAHAHAHAAHAHA. Are you trying to farm the clown awards here or what?

Steam support did nothing of the sort:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1cpdbdp/comment/l3k3ri2/

That was the thing that started it all, someone badly cropped a canned response, and the person that actually got it, clarified and highlighted the message by the CEO, who confirmed that it was a clerical error by Valve.
Grim@FU_BARRACUDA May 12, 2024 @ 2:33am
The important question is still why are they blocking paying customers to whom they could sell their game? That's what you should think about in my opinion ;-)

Everyone needs to rechange their reviews to negative
