Brood Commander goes mach 5 in your general direction? Ragdoll.
Spewer mortar lands within 50m of you? Ragdoll.
Bile Titan moves nearby? Ragdoll.
Counter Point:
Charger: Huge, obvious creature > Side step it
Brood Commander: Large, obvious creature > Side step it.
Spewer Mortar: Honestly, I've only ever had them kill me or do nothing to me at all.
Bile Titan: I've never had one ragdoll me. They just insta-kill me if they touch me.
True, but when they fling you away it usually isn't followed-up with a bunch of ranged weapons to kill you instantly.
With the bugs, I've been able to recover from their ragdolling most of the time. With bots? It is Ragdoll followed by ranged fire till I die before I can recover. The main thing is that for bugs to ragdoll you, they have to get close to you. If they get close, you're fighting them wrong anyway. Bots will just snipe you from across the map and ruin your day.

Most of my playtime consists of exclusively bots, I only do bugs for major orders, and even then I do one or two missions. If you're having trouble with rag dolling against the bots you need to stop standing near walls and not have slopes behind you. Use the personal, or team-wide shield generator, you can eat several rockets before you're actually punished for your mistakes.
Most importantly, if you're getting overwhelmed, you should immediately seek cover. only return fire when you're not getting suppressed, or peek another corner as enemies will continue to fire in your last known position.
This is a wild opinion; but I think bots are BY FAR the easiest and most fun faction. Getting endlessly rushed by bugs and having to deal with chargers up in your face 70% of the time ISNT HARD, its just incredibly annoying, dull, and boring. Enemy priority is always the same, enemies always rush you in the same way. With bots its more dynamic. Focusing a hulk or tank isnt always a priority when there's a devastator up on a hill shooting rockets down into your cover.
Stop playing bots like they're bugs.
- Take cover, pick priority targets. Stop running away from fights to an objective 50 meters away, they'll follow you and you will be surrounded, PLUS devastators will fire from across the map, through the fog, into your face if you run away.
- Stop fighting every patrol because you cant drop fire on top of the bot drop like you can with a bug breach, bring ACTUAL A.T. support weapons or stratagems, focus on bots that can call for drops.
- Use prone/crouch to get close to outposts and nail them with an airstrike, so you can open fire as soon as it hits, effectively wiping them all out before they can call for help.
- Use stealth to avoid patrols.
- I know bug players cant stand this one; Aim for actual weak spots as some bots are completely immune to most damage otherwise.
- Use different load outs depending on missions, heavy armor for defense lets you eat an extra rocket, or take 2-3 extra shots before death, grenade launcher/SPEAR for blitz so you can quickly wipe out fabricators from a distance, generalist support weapon for regular runs like the autocanon or AMR that are good at everything. Team-wide shield and mines for missions with defend objectives. It's no longer a 'one size fits all' like you can do with the bugs.
I could go on and on and on and on, but just go into the mentality of "I need to complete my objectives, loot, and get out. To do this, I need to find whatever strategy makes me kill the most, die the least, EVEN IF I DONT WANT TO USE THAT PARTICULAR SET BECAUSE CLUSTER STRIKE GETS ME 60 ENEMY KILLS AGAINTS THE BUGS AND IT MAKES ME PRODUCE SOME OF THE FUNNY BRAIN JUICE". Embrace the suck. Get learn to adapt or eat rockets.
Happy diving, and good luck.
