Read before comment, that's exactly what I said :-/
But there is still a chance that someone dont realise it ...
Its also good to make the studio aware that we are awrae of it ;-)
(You are not alone in this world ...)
You know very well that this here is not about the quality of GoT. I also waited for this game and happy on one hand that its there and sad that it is under those conditions.
The same also counts for HD2 now :-/
What's more likely is that they are going to launch their own PC store and, much like companies like EA are doing, force you to sign into it to use your game.
With a PSN account.
This gives them more control over consumers. Valve issuing refunds likely made them realize that Valve got the pants on here, not them, and that made them switch to Plan B.
I wouldn't be surprised if they started charging for PS+ on PC as well.
I hope I'm proven the opposite, but them doubling down and blocking even more countries from access to the game makes me think they aren't quite done yet.
I think you've been living under a rock for the last few days my friend ;-)
Maybe you should enter PSN in the search and read what you find there. Before I go of topic with you because of another illogical comment from you, I'd rather block you right away. I can't stand people that seem selfish and ignorant to me personally anyway :-/
(User "Vivianite" was blocked by me for obvious reasons)
But I would still like to make it clear to you that you are not alone in the world and not everyone thinks like you or me and can still benefit from this information.
You mean like those others wich are now selling their stuff here anyway (even Blizz), after realising that they cant win against Steam or at least need it to survive?
That would just be stupid of Sony. If they start developing games for pc and console now and have studios that can handle it, or at least get better at it, then they will have a bright future in terms of revenue. It would be foolish to risk them incurring more server capacity and support administration costs just for a PSN sign-up. I don't think trading personal data would compensate for that if that is their real motivation, at least not in the long run ...
Sony is going to try to use their PS exclusives as a bargaining chip. Plus, they can still keep their games on steam. All they need to do is charge you to use the online services of their store.
Even if you now buy an EA game on steam, it will still launch over Origin or whatever its called nowadays. You will have to make an account, whether you buy the game on steam or not. I feel you didn't actually buy any of those games in recent years, because you'd know this otherwise.
Immediate action: Pause planned PSN account requirement
intermediate actions: purge all regions unable to make PSN accounts
Long term actions: Assure all regions game is available in can make PSN accounts. Reinitiate PSN account requirement.
PLAY HAS NO LIMITS*
*some limits may apply. Play not available in all regions.
I'll tell you what I think, I think Sony has now realized that consoles will soon have no future and it's stupid anyway that studios have to develop or adapt games for 2 or more different platforms. Yes, of course, they could make a good profit from the money you've made so far by selling games multiple times. But just yesterday I saw a thumbnail that called for turning consoles into PCs and then it became clear to me. Take a look around, you can now do everything with a PC that you can do with a console. You can connect it to the TV and connect controllers. They are now available so small that you can easily take them with you. The consoles will soon no longer make sense, and in my opinion they already no longer make sense for the players. Unless you like artificial exclusivity :-/
Our Lord of Savior Gabe Newell protects.
True, but HD was developed under Sony with a Contract to Sony. Thus Sony owns the IP. The same thing happend with Kojima/Konami and MGS. Everyone knows MGS wouldn't exist without Kojima, but he isn't allowed to touch it since he got canned from Konami.
