Also to note that there's actually pretty much no game similar to Helldivers 2 currently, wich is also a reason as to its success after all.
games are pretty different.
and after the guys who 'celebrated victory' and turned their reviews positive, realize that sony played them with a single tweet, that will change.
V Rising - almost up to its all time peak in players also beating Helldivers
Fallout 4 - a 9 year old game is almost matching the 24 hour peak and ALSO beating Helldivers
Rust, ,GTA 5 and Stardew are also beating Helldivers.
This isn't good news, this is Helldivers nose diving from top 10 all time head first down the basement stairs
Sunday, May 5: 110k peak.
And then there is regional lock in 170 territories which stops the sales and result in bad matchmaking for half of the world over time.
The game is still playable for whoever bought it over there, it's only new players that currently can't buy anymore. I doubt it would impact matchmaking in only a few days.
What's more likely it's just an accumulation of frustrations that result in people putting the game down. And even then, 100k is still a good amount of players.
