Spawn rates question
Is an unintended number of enemies spawning in the known issues list currently? I don't have time to read a trilogy to find out.

No. According to the latest measurements, both 4 player and solo appearances are the same. And the developers do not consider it a problem.

That's incorrect. Solo get 25% of the spawns as 4 players.

They dont wnat solo player sadly, so spawn rates are rather high if your alone. I think they should at least keep re-spawns to 20 even if solo, but it is multiplayer game but still I dont see the reason to at least making solo player struggle a bit easier. At the end of day missions go faster if you play with others, unless they are undercover bots to ruin your run. So stay vigilant helldiver!

I have a feeling that, when you are close to an active objective, the patrol spawn rate goes up to maximum no matter how many people are in your group. So even when you're solo, you have to weave through an ocean of patrols when you are waiting for the objective to finish.

Not to the maximum, but it does raise the frequency of patrols that spawns when you are near objectives and near the extraction zone. The frequency of patrols spawning also increase dramatically after a main objective is completed, and also increase for each nest destroyed. There is an interesting guide on the topic.

With that said, among the missions we get for our rotations for this particular major order, we have a civilian rescue one, which is very well known for having completely out of whack spawn rates. So if you wonder why during those missions there is a constant ballet of dropships over the 4 cardinal directions dropping tanks and hulks as well as various heavies over and over, that's why.

From what older players told me, that problem has been here since month, and it has never been changed or fixed.
Arrowhead have succeeded in ruining this game already. If things feel off, wrong, broken, or just all around confusing and unfun, it's not just you.

I am annoyed by the patch too.
And by the stupidity of some of the comments here.
Not sure, what's worse.

Spawn rate:
- The patrol spawn rate depends on the team composition.
"Patrol spawning has been increased when there are fewer than 4 players. The fewer the players, the bigger the change. For 4 player missions, there will be no change compared to before. The biggest noticeable change will be for solo players at higher difficulties."

So ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stop commenting that "it's the same rate." It just is not. It can happen in L4-6, that you are unable to extract, because you are literary overrun and you will not have enough ammunition to deal with it.

So yea. While I consider L8 with a random team mostly easy. Solo L5 can be impossible. Call-In Extraction can be impossible too.

- This is not a solo or a team game. It is a game. For teams of up to 4 players. There have been ppl. playing it solo. The problem is, that they punish ppl. for trying the challenge.

I understand, that the devs would love to see team work. They still have wet dreams about teammates reloading other players. Too bad, they completely suck at implementing lobbies or delivering on good group buildup. Too bad, they suck on suggesting to play with 4 players - by rewarding it with (i.d.k - for instance with 10% more rewards, samples like WH40k Darktide). Instead, they make it frustrating as hell.

After a long work day, I just don't want to play with morons who insist, that "this game is meant to be played that way..." Sorry - no offense intended. But it's just these Dunning Kruegers, that are a tad bit exhausting... And I just want to relax. A challenge without grey noise via headphones...

So my hint to the developers:
- Good game design gives options - and does not enforce play style.
- Good game design might reward certain play styles - like joining SOS calls.

Thank good:
When the player numbers keep dwindling like that, I am pretty sure they will remove it...
