you do know i have a mini-series on youtube where i show how valve or the mods that the devs employ allow for harassment right?
you know i already have multiple vids on how horrible you wanabe fascists are right?
So, you are saying they are not asleep to the wider context and the reality of the situation?
You know as in someone saying "Wake up sheeple" and the people that "woke up" are "woke"... so the Discord is woke and that is a bad thing?
Does it really matter how you ask for people to be fired/canceled?
You did a Karen and you got shown the door.. and this surprises you... why?
Yeah, absolute weirdos... you ask for people to be fired and kick and they didn't fall over backwards but instead showed you the door?
Absolute strange and...

What else are people going to do when faced with a persistent pattern of disingenuous behavior and blatant aggression? Setting that aside, it should be telling how they're prone to abusing their power in attempting to silence those that express their dissatisfaction with the staff through rampant banning.
They know they are in the wrong and consequences could well come for them, otherwise there would be no reason to be concerned about it and take action when things like this happen to them.
However that didn't happen.
Their own fault, the community managers and staff, since if they had done their job in a competent manner, and then refrained from using their staff role as a platform for their own agendas, vendettas and opinions, and acted in a manner that wasn't malicious as they should have, none of this would have happened.
If the staff never mentioned Grummz, this would not have happened. If the staff was not aggressive, people would not be calling for them to be fired.
If they kept their mouths shut and did what they were supposed to, none of this would have happened.
Don't see why the community is at fault for what the staff chose to do, since no one forced their hand and their actions.
Of course Id do my job well enough to avoid people asking. But there's nothing surprising about that ban. Especially cause youre asking for the whole department to be removed, so none of them gonna question that ban either.
So there shouldn't be too much a concern about it unless getting fired for their behavior is a real thing that could happen to them. Though in that case, from what I understand, they have it coming.
Do you really not know what the problem with cancel culture and karens demanding employee's being fired is?
Also has nobody ever told you not to argue with a moderator? That is an argument you can't win if you do it on their turf.
Use other services that are not under control of said moderator? Write a complaint to the company via their support email?
Do you need more or would these be sufficient? If not, how about you contact the very active CEO on twitter? (Not like he isn't being sent screen caps of everything that's going on already..and this alone should tell you that the CEO is fine with what's going on)
Targeted harassment is against pretty much every online communities TOS... and going into the same room as the person you want fired and loudly proclaim you want them fired, is targeted harassment. Especially considering that its not just YOU doing it.
I spend 2ish hours in general chat this morning and every minute there was someone demanding this. And you truly are surprised the start banning people without warning at this point?
Go into any store, ask to see the manager and then tell the co-worker of the manager, while they are standing there that you think the manager be fired.
Let me know how that works out for you. I would bet more often than not you are told to leave the store at that point.
Why is any of this surprising to people? Most wouldn't think twice that this is the expected outcome of that action.
So why waste your time? Don't even have to go to the discord. Just go to your forum of choice and claim you were banned for saying you like Pineapple Pizza. Has about the same effect and spares you a lot of wasted time of actually going to the discord and trying to be banned for being a Pineapple Pizza lover. And you get your "virtue points" with your buddies with minimal effort.
And the CEO is very well aware of what is going on. I went to Twitter on Sunday to verify some of the context of screen grabs they showed on Reddit and his tweets are full of people sending him screen caps of what Misty does, what Baskinator does or whatever or whoever it is.
If the screen cap is on reddit you can be sure someone send it to the CEO.
I seriously don't know why people care about that hasbeen. Like both sides of this stupid culture war nonsense. I so don't get why people listen to him and i get even less why his opponents need to make ♥♥♥♥ up, considering his "downfall" and why he will never work in the industry again has been long documented. From the tell all stories about how he abused the people unfortunate enough to work under him, to the misappropriated funds... like buying that stupid firefall bus. That funny lie about how he got fired because he wouldn't take a bribe... like seriously can you imagine him not being the first in line with a big smile and an even bigger thank you?
And yet you have people go "oh you supported gamer gate? You must be an -ist".... like if you have been around for Gamer Gate you'd remember how hard he tried ingrating himself into the gamer gate movement. Started to make his boys club the League of.. what was it Gentleman Gamers? Part of the club and pretty much everyone caught on super quick what a grifter he is.
Which makes it even more baffling that he has so much success now. Guess if you unsuccessfully grift for over 10 years you eventually learn what not to say.
If they had the "correct" opinions, then it wouldn't be an issue. Correct here is of course, as always subjective. If they had the other kind of opinion then the other kind of Karen would be having this conversation with me, about how they are big meanies and need to be fired.
Oh please, don't lump me in with this Kindergarden nonsense. It's bad enough the forums is full with this sh♥♥. Most of the community doesn't care or is annoyed with it. As i am growing ever more increasingly annoyed with this.
I was part of gamer gate, and it peeves me so much to see the how this whole thing has become co-opted by grifters and outrage merchants.
Used to be the blue haired squad that would call into work places to get people fired... and now its the Karens on the other side that go "cancel them, they said mean words! It hurts my feelings, i need to block them". Used to be we made fun of these people.
Just ask everyone who trusted Grummz with their money for Em-8er
What does any of this have to do with cancel culture? What are you rambling about?
I just want them gone for using their position as a staff member to start stuff with others as a platform.
The entire mention of what I had written out above was nothing more than examples of cause and effect, not wanting them removed for mean words. They're literally not doing their job, with two of them literally clamming up when the PSN situation happened, even though they're supposed to be doing damage control when things like that happen, and before then banning people without good reason and acting with aggression toward the community.
Their job is to get along with the community and address their concerns. They have not done that and are therefore useless, so get rid of them.
Dunno where cancel culture is coming from. Kinda on the schizo side, pulling that out for no real reason, especially since something so in depth when in my particular case it has no bearing comes off as projection at best, and a less than lucid delusion at worst.
Did you seriously just ask me that in a thread about someone trying to get another person being fired for having the "wrong opinions"?
Like, seriously?
Mark Kern[en.wikipedia.org], the guy that tanked Firefall, the video game like a decade ago and has been trying to get people to work with him again by ingrating himself in some community to do kickstarters for a new game, because nobody wants to work with him after the Firefall debacle.
