2 Pelicans trying to pick us up and none are landing.

In the end I had to feed myself to the bugs as the Destroyer already left Orbit. Pelican said to clear the Landing area but the Bugs kept spawning in the same place near the Pelicans.

And we had 2 Pelicans which was very confusing. A couple of people joined and left instantly so I'm not sure if that's the issue here.

Also I'm new to the game.

latest patch broke pelicans or something, i went 80 hours playing this game without ever encountering a bug at the end of the match, but then the patch came out and i had 3 missions in a row get a game breaking bug, first one had a "ghost" pelican that we nobody could get on so goodbye samples, second had the pelican instantly take off the moment someone stepped in so goodbye samples, third was just a very nice crash to desktop when it began to land so that was even better, i would suggest not playing until it gets fixed or something

New patch new bugs. I've had the Pelican come and literally fly into the ground out of sight. We had to fail the extraction and lose all the samples.

the latest patch was bugged beyond belief. even the enemies's ragdolls were stretching across the map and their headlamp lights were hovering in midair attached to nothing.

I hope they rollback everything they changed. and soon.

I noticed that. Moved towards a dead Titan and it launched me quite far.

Sounds like you tried to cheese the game by making the pelican circle, which lead to the game breaking, when the time ran out.

Don't try to cheese the game and this won't happen.

I'm level 5 and have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea what I am doing. We went to the extraction after finishing the mission by activating 3 (pilons or whatever) then went for Evac. While we waited there a 3rd guy joined and instantly left the game again after landing.

Then 2 Pelicans showed up blasting away at the Bugs which spawned in the same spot over and over.

I don't know what type of clown you think you are assuming that any person who post something is cheesing or cheating but I guess we need a class clown like you here.
