Why we're not liberating Choohe (and thus failing the Major Order)
A. Confusion with supply lines. They exist but unless you use third party sites you don't know what planets lead to where. The update that'll show them in game can't come fast enough. On that note; "Menkent is in a different sector, how would liberating it help get to Choohe?" Cause that's how the supply lines work, not that we'd know from anything in game.

B. Lesath> Menkent. Lesath is another Icy Cold planet so lasers are peak there. Meanwhile Menkent is hot and has everybody's least favorite weather effect; Fire Tornadoes. So it was easier to get to Penta than Choohe because of that.

C. Rockets> Mines. Yes we now know the Airburst Rockets are probably the worst thing to have happen to Divers (for now until the next new thing comes or they get fixed) but it was obvious most players would want the new shoot bang toy than a set and forget tool which are already known for team killing.

D. Chort Bay> Menkent. Both are hot planets but it's obvious people would rather deal with Acid Rain than Fire Tornadoes despite Menkent being at almost 50% liberation before Chort was available and thus way closer to being liberated within the time frame.

E. Penta -> Merak -> Cyberstan. Unfortunately that's now how this works but I can see people looking at the map and making that conclusion.

F. "We failed the Major Order? But we got the new weapon. Wasn't that the point?" The Order is to liberate both planets, the weapons were just an incentive to do so. I imagine a lot of us are tired of bots in general after the past month so once we got the rockets, even if they turned out to not be great, a lot of people stopped caring.

G. Most people don't actually care and just go off and do their own things anyways. The Personal Order requiring people to go to the bug side for a specific enemy type didn't help for today either.

It really isn't that deep. People avoided Menkent literally only because it was a fire tornado planet, same reason why bug divers will refuse to liberate Hellmire.

still baffled why people wanted the suicide launcher over the anti tank mines which probably wouldve been great help against bile titans overrunning shuttle launch missions

People keep claiming "supply line confusion" in recent weeks, but it has little to do with it lol

There was 0 confusion is targeting the right planet for the stratagem unlock. People just don't want to do the entire major order as it is frickin pointless. If the devs want us to win, then we will as a recent order has shown us (and the mech one).

With that said, way fewer people still need medals aside for cosmetics. Major orders have also been bot centric for way too long. Bots were already less popular.

Nah, fire tornado planets suck ball, especially on bots.
That's all.

People will still go hard at the MO because people like check lists. And the hope that the mines will probably still be available after Choohe falls.

They'll probably get it. I put some time in on bots tonight. As democracy demands.

Omicron is a really pleasant planet to fight on.

As you can see, the playbase does not like fire tornados. I find it odd since fire tornados are your friend. They kill enemy well. I guess people do not like having to think a few steps ahead to avoid catching on fire.

Mathematically it is impossible. Only if the devs hit their button like they did on the previous major order, will it win. Another reason people are losing interest imo; I don't believe we 'can' lose major orders that they absolutely need us to win to progress their stories or content releases. Whether or not this one is one of those, has yet to be seen.

Personally I hate every single weather modifier. They all boil down to:
"Die to rng" or "Your eyeballs turn off for 15 minutes at a time".

Chort Bay is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disaster. Visibility is about 30 meters at all times

Only RNG one might be the volcanic planets. Anything else other than that would just be you being a bit hyperbolic on what RNG means for dying. Ion storms don't execute you, but they will have you play differently and potentially retreat if needed. Low visibility affects bots heavily, but wont really mess with mortar sentries, so that is a hard counter to those maps in general.

Not saying you should like them, but they aren't randomly screwing us over or anything. Just changes what we may take to the mission to deal with it.

"oh look people have different opinions than me. People are stupid".
That's how this thread sounds.

Nobody likes effects that limit visibility, this doesn't need reinterpreting every week. It does, however, bear repeating every week until Arrowhead has hired someone who actually plays video games.

It is just a flavor thing.

Though I do not enjoy how limited it can be (especially in recent weeks on bug side) for planet choice. Being stuck with planets like that for extended periods of time is not enjoyable. I don't even mind planets like menkent/hellmire, but not if they are one of the only real choices for days on end.

Some of the most memorable moments have happened on the crappiest of planets, so perhaps I have a bit of bias on the subject, but still.

That's because after the fire dmg increase that facking tornade will mealt you in few hits xD Now imagine this while you try run from bots to look for a cover xD

Fighting on Fire Tornado planets would be more fun if you didn’t spontaneously combust upon stepping onto the fiery terrain in your apperantly highly flameable titanium alloy armor. Additionally, it would enhance the experience if the fire hitbox aligned with the visible flames – unfortunately, that’s not currently the case. Countless times, I’ve been incinerated by seemingly nonexistent flames.
It’s particularly frustrating when they obstruct evacuation zones or mission objectives, causing unnecessary delays because the console you need to reach is on fire.
