Game suddenly runs worse

So out of the blue I feel like my game runs worse. It was completly fine before and now it looks like the game takes way more out of my cpu. I changed no settings either, I did do some gpu driver update tho but that shouldnt change any settings or anything right ? I know im prob just stupid but I would like some advice how to make the game run better.

i put my settings not to low but not to high, it was about to murder my pc until i put it a little lower, so i suggest that. hows the optimization for the game for you? if your using geforce experience you can click optimize or use the settings in there to make the game run a little lower but idk might depend on your set up.

• Have you tried the steam launch code -dx11 ?
  
• 1st fix Delete "user_settings.config, in: "AppData\Roaming\Arrowhead\Helldivers2"
  (resets your settings)
  
• 2nd fix Deleting your shader cache folder contents, in: "AppData\Roaming\Arrowhead\Helldivers2"
  (will cause weird loading for the first time afterwards to rebuild cache)
  
• 3rd fix [Framerate Limit] in [Display Settings] turned on and set to 60.
  
• 4th fix run in fullscreen instead of borderless or windowed helped someone.

What is the launch code thingy ? and I can try limit frames and stuff sure but I didnt feel like turning down graphics or anythign of the sorts was really helping. Maybe my laptop is just dying on me x.x

newer GPU drivers can have the possibility to make games run worse. Have you ever cleaned your laptops cooler/fan? Heat issues also lead to worse performance over time due to dust buildup

I tried to play today with a 4080 and it runs at 40fps no matter what I change the settings to.

I didnt say anything about changing your gfx settings, if anything textures plays a roll in most problems.

The Steam launcher would be best watched on youtube than described on here.
Buuuuut ill give it shot:

• Right click the game in your library.
  
• Properties.
  
• GENERAL
  
• Launch Options are in a box down the bottom of that window.
  
• type -dx11 into it, thats it.

no problems on my end with a 4070. Game runs great at 120 FPS with maxx settings @ 1440p

and yet you have still played it for 90 hours. Game runs fine when you don't have a potatoe pc. And I have come across about 2 bugs in my over 200 hours of playing the game. And those were minor bugs

you changed drivers and PC runs slower? seems you already solved your problem..

Mines been actually running higher. I was at my usual 120 and now its running above that, in fact i saw 180. Unless my settings got changed in the update but i dont think so.

its not heat I checked for that but yeah I feel like after the driver update its worse and thats really annoying

I also didnt have any major problems so far the game ran fine apart from the obvious early stuff thats already fixed like a few crashes.
