scopes and sights are atrocious in this game.
While some are bearable there isn't one scope of sight in this game that is good at all.
The varieties in this game include.

-Micro Red dot-- Railgun, E.A.T, submachine gun.
-Yellow donut - Autocannon, Quasar, recoilless.
-blue cross- A.M.R, Eruptor.
-Green cancer - That one marksman rifle.

I don't know who designed these things, but its straight a**. On some maps with insane brightness or fog some of these scopes are obsolete and you're better off always aiming in third person.

So maybe you already do, now we get to the snipers. Why does it need to be neon blue? We are trying to see the damn weakspots not squint while dealing with scope drag that the devs put in this game to a 1000%.

The quasars scope literally vibrates while charging and you cannot tell that its on the center anymore.

Most players don't say anything because its not unplayable, its just not trash enough that people will talk about it. But overall the design of sights in this game is pretty damn bad. Its not a real enough of an issue so its unfortunately going to remain this way.

People who don't specialize in sniping generally will say "get gud" since they usually just aim at the body mass and call it a day and then say "scopes works". Yet if you are a sniper you generally aim to do the "one shot one kill" approach at longer ranges. Then it becomes VERY clear that the scopes are TRASH period! Some worse then others i can funny enough snipe better with the Dominator then i can with the AMR. The AMR should be pinpoint accurate but it is not. In a game where your gun is your life where they just slap in a scope without even testing it is beyond me. I played this game since almost at launch and the more i play the more frustrating it becomes. Especially the last 2 weeks. Kind of done with the game to be honest tired of the FOG//MIST on many planets taking away the fun out of sniping.

The constant issue with reload bug aka "2 phase reload" it is horrendous and a big deal breaker for me many times i know its fully loaded then only to get greeted by "pls reload" the issue of basically no cover since Automatons can shoot through solid mountains...Being rag dolled by mushrooms gettings stuck can't vault certain rocks while you should vault it.

Equiping the Eruptor with a 200m scope is LAZY since the Eruptor has a max effective range of about 125m (give or take) before it detonates. I wait for the new BIG updatePatch next week so they say and i trully hope they fix the most glarring issues like the scopes and other stuff if not then i call this game EOL for me had plenty of patience they racked a lot of money yes its a small team but common this is a FPS game where guns and scopes MUST work!

I remember Mass Effect 3 coop extreme fun for even years and years the scopes worked! Cover worked! You could pick a map with hazard (less view) or clear! So many classes that have their specific bonuses. Even Mass Effect Andromeda had their scopes done right (except off host tho where headshots would not register many times). Some fps games are better then others i guess. Shame tho HD2 can be fun as hell just hope they fix the game issue and if not well time for another game just a wasted oppertunity and a waste of money.

Yeah that reloading issue is so dumb, the perplexing thing is that its been 3 months and I don't get how the devs have not done an overhaul of the plethora of bugs and quality of life improvements. Like its not that hard to fix armor, its not that hard to balance guns, the fanboys act like we're asking them to split the atom twice.

The fact that things like fire and gas is tied to an atrocious netcode.

Considering fogs, bullet-proof leaves, and other BS visuals & terrain features in the game, most engagements are 50m or less, let alone 100m so scopes are pretty much pointless.

90% of the time players will be ADS over the shoulder. Using an iron sight / scope isn't necessary, accurate, nor useful, and the tunnel vision doesn't help at all either. The rare time you do get a planet that you're allowed to see stuff > 100m away, scopes are Ok for that first 10 seconds before they're on top of you or you're diving behind a rock to avoid rockets/cannon shells.

Totally agrees

I'm a real-life shooter, and every time I use a scope, I get mad at how bad they are. I think the devs saved money by buying scopes from TEMU.

Agreed.

The optics are terrible and the lack of options to try and remediate or adjust for player preference is a huge let down.

So many sights feel like they're on the wrong gun being used in the wrong role, and while I can understand the sway / negative acceleration / drift as a design decision - it really ought to scale more with the weight / bulkiness of weapons (or just allow players to turn it off / adjust it).

Why on earth does my railgun or DMR bob and drift around as much as my shoulder-fired repurposed fighter autocannon?!

Yeah, ADS is terrible with most weapons.
As you said the quasar one is absolutely retarded and you can't see ♥♥♥♥ even inside the reticle.

It's just that there's so much else wrong or broken that it fades in the background, but yes most sights are utter ♥♥♥♥.

Thinking of it, visibility is often the main enemy in this game. Between fog, exaggerated lights and enemies attacking from behind stuff.
