My opinion
the support weapon is what we need. More air threats are most likely coming. A anti air support weapon would be nice to have.

Another launcher is the LAST thing we need.

You guys won't even use it unless the devs include unlimited ammo. I'm honestly kinda peaved we're being teased with ANOTHER rocket weapon instead of much, MUCH needed transport stratagems

we need a good way of taking on flying threats. i don't care if its got infinite ammo or not. you can't win a ground war if the enemy has the air.

It's definitely something that belongs in the game eventually, because why not. I just don't see myself dedicating a slot to a weapon that is going to be used for 5 minutes total of the mission, assuming I'm destroying a gunship fabricator; because flying bugs are an easy scorcher shot and done. They don't even appear on certain mission types.

Maybe the spread will be wide enough to be fun for ground targets also, like a directed clusterbomb but I imagine that wouldn't affect heavies. Would be fun. I'd say the current counter for flying threats is sentries, granted ground targets don't get them.

Now that I think about it, maybe I really don't have a preference this go-around because it's a sitationally-useful rocket launcher up against what I thiiink is basically a waist-high wall with an MG or grenade launcher mounted on it (That will get blown up by a charger in seconds)

Bit of an unenthusiastic competition. If it was the launcher against dune buggies, I'd be clawing getting people to focus on the one.

...may not even be anti-air honestly, it just mentions some kind of chemical weapon

Personally I really like the gimick sort of weapons but I get your point. I find the Airburst launcher to be far more interesting than more mines.

I do 100% agree though that we need transports and not having them is quite frustrating. I want some of the really interesting things. Like SEAF soldiers or new mechs. More support weapons is a little boring unless the support weapon is something really strange or cool for me.

I mostly want to play with the more interesting fun experimental weapons in helldivers rather than the things that will work 100% of the time.

Laser cannon.

Antitank mines will actually do some work as bots are close to immune to antipersonal.

Autocannon and SPEAR aren't bad for Cyborge Anti-air
Scorcher is great for AT and also is good for Anti-air as well
EATs i've seen used but probably shouldn't be used for AA

A dedicated AA weapon would be cool so long as it can do just a bit more than AA. Like if it's great at AA but sucks at everything but can also blow up fabs or bug holes it'd be cool.

yes we have these but are they really better than a flack gun thats really what we need for those targets and like i said eventually i think they will add more air targets.

and yes if it were some kind jeep or armored carrier i would definitely go for it instead.

The two strats available are:
- anti-GunshipBurst (airburst works on shriekers and ground-depending on aim)
- anti-TankMines (also works on FactoryWalkers)

The airburst launcher is the way to go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTMifXTY0TY

Air only targets? HA! It deletes ground targets too.

Yup ,it's 'airburst', but you can concentrate on ground or air or mixed.
and also works on gunships.
