And no you don't even actually need to link playstation account to play the game.
You can just skip that part when asked.
I think it might still outright say it is required in the game pop up too? even when it isn't.
I don't pay for super mega playstation ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, so my PSN account link is just for the fact it can enable me to cross play with the console guys. (There is no cross progression.)
1. IF you play the game on a PC (personal computer) AND buy the game for STEAM, you will not need any payment whatsoever / or have any subscription etc. related to Playstation. I don´t even own a Playstation. I have a Playstation account, but the only thing ive paid to play Helldivers is related to the steam purchase in order to play it on my PC.
If you are not playing this game on a PC, well then maybe some sort of subscription is also required on playstation.
But if you are a PC player you should already know that we dont play extra for online services if we buy the game at full price, the only exceptions being if the game itself has a subsription, like World of Warcraft etc. But maybe you haven´t been in the PC gaming world for to long.
Very few pc players would play this game if it would require a subscription for a playstation account.
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 470
Storage: 100 GB available space
these are the min specs, steam deck runs ~30fps on min settings so you should be good
Well! Might be a little rough, keep graphics low. Play with 'render scale' on native for a while
Make sure to disable V-Sync, Motion Blur, Antialiasing, play with Sharpness see if you like it high (I use 0.6) but I recommend not turning it off since without it your game will look crazy muddy. You can try it though, no harm in that. Try setting a framerate limit of 60.
Helldivers 2 is hard to run so good luck. On lower difficulties the game is noticeably easier to run, possibly cuz the map gets larger and the host computer is being forced to keep active like a ton of different enemies and things, on higher difficulties with the biggest maps it will destroy your computer.
So hosting actually costs you frames and is harder to run so if you can help it join other people's games. Don't let that stop you hosting though, you may have to in order to progress.
(To unlock next difficulty, you have to complete a full operation which is one mission for difficulties 1-2, two missions for 3-4, and three missions for 5-9... and you'll have best success completing a full operation when hosting.)
But anyway once you play for a while if you can't get consistent 60fps, try bumping that 'Render Scale' down, one below native. A bump down to 'ultra quality' render scale won't make the game look that much worse and you should get some more frames.
That's even not true. I don't use my Playstation account with the game.
Much appreciated. I have no idea what my computer's current specs are, but it's a gaming laptop from 2018. The only game it couldn't run at all was Doom Eternal.
if you open your task manager and click the performance tab you can see your specs in the top right by catagory. You could also search up system information and it will list everything
