Bring explosive resist armor. Other than that, it's really just a skill issue, genuinely.
Bug games are getting challenging, but fun to play through.
Automatons... yeah, no. Tried 3 of them, all of them were miserable for all the things the OP stated. I don't know how anyone finds fun in getting repeatedly one shot by an aimbot rocket from 100m+ away that you can barely see, or clearing 2 dropships just to see 3 more fly in, but to each their own I suppose.
It's not the first of April here yet but i'm going to assume you're in a timezone where it is.
Nine times out of ten they brought it on themselves by dropping where they should not- always drop on the flanks of a map against bots- or otherwise pushed where they shouldnt and then were shocked when the enemy is pounding them from two angles and it turns out that's going to hurt.
That and they don't keep moving. And if they didn't bring explosive resist they DEFINITELY forgot to bring the shield pack.
Wow, sounds totally fun. Yeah. Lots of fun, let me follow your strategy and still not have fun.
Clown.
It's just a different pace and a different way of engaging the enemy.
Use cover. A lot. Aim for weakspots whenever you can and if you can't immediatly throw an orbital or bombing run.
Play fast. React fast. Adapt immediatly. Anticipate. Coordinate.
The reason I love bots so much compared to the no brainer that are bugs is that it requires the team to give everything they've got. To become the ultimate commando unit.
For those struggling I'd recommend the following loadout :
- Light armor with 50% explosive resistance & -30% recoil
- As a main weapon, Sickle, Slugger, Dominator or Explosive Liberator. Many other options are good but these are my favorite for bots.
If you don't have access to premium warbonds don't worry, the Slugger is the real deal.
- Stun grenades. High Explosive and Impact nades are good but Stun nades are the real clutch. The trivialize devastators and hulks.
- Autocannon. Sniper is also great but can't trick shot factories accross the map. Autocannon is an all rounder that gets ♥♥♥♥ done. Aim for weak spots.
- Eagle Airstrike. Great general purpose tool. Super effective at taking down tanks, groups of heavy infantry and factories alike.
- Orbital Laser. Use it for heavy outposts, objective bunkers or as a panic button. It's both a life and time saver.
- 4th stratagem really is your choice, you can bring many things that work like Railcannon. However I prefer the Precision Orbital Strike for more versatility. Also extra anti tank and factories firepower.
Everyone have their own playstyle but for those who don't know how to survive against bots you could try this kit.
Good luck out there divers!
Ya there is so many bots on battlefields before dropships the only thing to do is stealth and just never fight them. Literally just did a few 9s and a few 7s.
My buddy wanted super samples so he followed me and we had to crawl to obj. Maybe 125+meters to obj. because of patrols and POI. It was so thrilling to just crawl half the map so we could kill the obj. and extract super samples/s
Really the only thing to do is stealth light armor bring slugger and revolver (noise/stealthy pistol) smoke nades then spear (4 fabs only) amr or autocannon with shield. That is absoluetly the only way to play bots right now for best chances, they have buffed them to the point they have limited all gameplay options to nothing.
