Can we have stats on helmets?
There's literally no reason to buy them right now.

People are upset about headshots and you could fix that issue by giving stats to say the fortified heavy helmet.

You could give sensor range to some of the helmets.

There is so much room for fun variation - and instead they're all the same.

I dunno, on one hand I kind of see it as being inevitable, probably stats that are similar to the rest of the armor rather than unique mods.

But at the same time, I prefer the helmets not having any stats, so I don't have to worry about it. I can just pick to mix and match the helmet I like with the armor and stats I like, rather than matching a helmet to an armor set I may not or may not like but have to deal with because it gives me 33% more head protection.

For example, the Hero of the Federation armor goes hard with the scout helmet (the two eye one with the hood.)

Arrowhead : cost money and time, nope (also we are too busy creating NEXT planet) = (all later content is still void)

Exactly this - No one wants to be pigeon holed into wearing a stupid looking helmet that doesn't match for the sake of bonuses.

I feel like they should detach armor effects and make it moddable, which in turn would open up build options.

Like, if each Helmet and Body armor had a mod slot to place the effects in. Then we could have Body armor be mostly a stats or cosmetic and have the Armor effects be modded in as needed per mission.

So supposedly there are hidden stats. One (or one class or something) has more armor, another has more speed. I don't know if it's every light or medium helmet but supposedly that's a thing.

It does matter which helmet you put on.

Those were due to a bug and were remoded.

Imagine a helmet with thermograpic of infra red scanning so all that fog/dust/spores/etc doesn't cloud your vision, or night vision goggles for night time mission that can be toggled on and off.
Maybe later before they already remove 2 helmets have stat buff

There was a video floating around a while back of the CEO playing with helmet enhancements. Thermal, night vision, trajectory lines, etc. They said they had to drop them for launch because Sony was pushing launch.

Thermal doesn't work through dust and clouds. It's still a camera that needs to see the object.

I assume the devs will add stats for helmets at some future point.

I'd love a helmet that tracks my grenade trajectory and tell me if my strat ball is going to *&$#@! bounce off of whatever I am aiming at.

Agreed. I don't want to choose between looking cool and having good stats.
