The alternative is EATS, that can crash your game just from calling down Support Stratagems.

Seems fussy in trying to get one shot sniper tower vent kills compared to real rockets. It is also pretty wild getting more proof "Either chainsaw bots ARE overtuned, or this weapon is not overpowered" when you shoot a chainsaw dude in the chest, and they shrug it off like a DBZ villain (if so hurt it just takes a little primary fire to finish the job. Shame they brought friends!)
Honestly the reason to take it over EATS is the same reason to take anything other than my formerly beloved eats. higher difficulty ♥♥♥♥♥ over eat use with long cooldowns, ion storms, ECM towers, and piles of spam.
On paper the EAT is great. In practice the reality of awkward inconvenience modifiers make even solo reloading the recoilless start to look tempting by comparison.
Plus the EAT has a delay between switching to it, and being allowed to fire nearly as long as charging the quasar anyways! If you want a quick eat snapshot you need to pull it out ahead of time.
A real shame because my first titan seen and killed was with a panic eat call down. Anyone still running low difficulty should enjoy the EAT while it is fully practical.
I have never had this happen and I spam EATs all over the map. So does my friend. You can literally see the path we took by all the EATs icons on the map.
And yeah. Bugsex and politiking is okay but "childish" and "clown farm" (my ban) are egregious unforgivable court marshal.
Also, yeah. It's pointless to shoot medium armor enemies that come in 20s with it. xD
Rather have an Autocannon for that.
It needs no nerfs. It is fine.
It can take down bosses pretty well with 1-2 shots and even drop ships, so can a lot of other things.
It's infinite ammo is offset by the charge and cd timer and it is a clear hammer for big nails. Another big benefit of quasar is ability to bring backpack.
Now compared to other weapons, it's absolute ♥♥♥♥ vs smaller enemies, where it's either impractical or you gonna get swarmed while charging it or outright not killing stalkers and berserkers in one shot. Compared to autocannon which can be run as basically a primary, has tons of ammo so you will really never run out, at least I don't and I spam it, can take out objectives but it can't really deal with chargers, bile titans, and drop ships. It can deal better with devastators, arguably hulks as well, but also has it's own back pack.
Basically there is give and take to quasar and it's counter parts. The weapon is quite honestly is in a good spot and any changes to it can either make it not worth it or make it too strong. Should be left as it is now.
