however, probably due to randomly generated levels, what counts as this terrain is not consistent.
it DOES need to exist for this aforementioned reason, it just, like alot of things, needs to be shored up on how it applies.
i agree it needs to be more consistent, was simply stating too it does have a good reason for existing.
As for the detector towers, you can call down hell-bombs in the area before the slope that leads to the tower. But tbh the easiest way to deal with them is to just bring an orbital precision strike and throw it at the base of the tower.
Take for example my unending loyalty to and use of turrets. I bring four of them with me on every mission. If the terrain allowed us to stick stratagems on top of those landscapes, buildings, and towers that are otherwise unavailable right now, my turrets would almost never get destroyed before their entire payload has been delivered upon the enemies of Democracy.
I suppose a solution for them would be to make Orbital Strikes sticky for buildings and landscapes, but I bet the code for all stratagems would have to be reworked. I'm sure we will see such fine tuning much later, kinda just a QoL thing if you ask me.
If you're talking about not being able to land offensive stratagems. You can actually throw them slightly inside the base of the tower. Yes, inside the base of the tower.
If you're talking about not being able to land hell-bombs. The layout of a detector tower outpost usually consist of 2 levels of elevation; the tower sits on the higher level, the rest of the base sits on the lower level, and the two are connected with a slope.
Hell-bombs never stick on the higher level, but they do stick on the lower level, so you can place the hell-bomb in the area right before the slope to guarantee that it lands where you throw it, and also be able to hit the detector tower.
