Quasar Cannon question
do you think it weill replace the expendablee anti tank rockets over time or do the EAT-17 rockets still have some use?

Quasar cannon has a charge time, so it can't be employed in emergencies. I think there are still good use cases for the Uber EAT.

Rockets remain better against chargers that have closed the distance/multiple chargers due to no warm up to fire, and EATs can take down 2 in quick succession

And If, hypothetically, they add a prestige-like feature EAT is unlocked basically immediately.

I like the Quasar, and I can see myself bringing both the Quasar and EAT-17 at the same time. EAT is one of those call it in when you need it drops anyway. Teammates can use them, and you can litter them everywhere for those "oh ♥♥♥♥, there's a Hulk coming" moments.

No. It trades fire rate for limitless fire. Sidegrade.

No.
Charge time is significant disadvantage, you need to expose yourself for significant amount of time to use it.
It is slightly better than EAT if you meet heavy occasionally, but if you think to shoot twice NOW, EAT is better.
It'll outperform EAT only if 2 people are bringing it.

It really depends on playstyle, and honestly a combo of Las and Ballistics will be the best set up. one for dealing with emergencies the other for saving the ballistics ammo on random tanks. For how I play the Las is perfect, but like most weapons in the game it really depends on the player and how they prefer to play. Everything but the counter sniper can be used to good effect in the right hands xD

no EAT still better in some scenario
If they make the cooldown time longer on EATs, yes. I think the devs have seen the communities fascination with EATs, and while I don't want to jinx it, they don't exactly have a history or goal to make other items stronger to make players diversify their playset more.
dont feel it against the bots, but against the bugs it's just free EAT rocket every 5 seconds

Quasar is more of a long range sniping weapon due to the long charge up time, in actual panic moments a EAT drop is going to be far superior. Even the introductory video shows the Quasar being used in a sniping role.

Seems like they did a decent job balancing it to me, so that the EAT is still desirable in certain situations... plus you can basically carry another support weapon and just call down the EAT when you need it.

EAT has effectively 2 shots on demand and has more of a blast radius.

I think the EATS will still have a place given you can call as many as you want every 60 seconds or so.

Heck no. If you die and lose that thing, you're out of an AT weapon. Someone with EAT is still more reliable to have.

Quasar will permanently take up your support weapon slot while using EAT means you can still bring other support weapon.

At most, its a side-grade to the recoilless rifle. EAT still exist in its own niche.

EAT still serves the function of instant theat response (given that you carry one). Quasar needs to charge and that can sometimes not be ideal.
