What is the railgun good at?

So Im unlocking new stuff level 20 and tried it. It says its for armor penetration but its near useless against chargers for example so?..

some one might said it along way but its hard to resist.

it's trash weapon nerfed to show you your place , 20 magazines with 1 chargable bullets that can richoshet of heavy armor just because some cc's used it to promote chanels and game.

to sum it up it dosn't have zoom , don't penetrate above medium armor , don't do aoe dmg , have to be loaded and charged every time.

it's trash that should be deleted at this point , there is auto-canon , granade launcher , recoilless , expendable , much better options with less cd and better usage.

To all of you defending the rail gun in this thread, you seem to be leaving some very important out of your opinions.

Tell me real quick. What's the rate of fire?
What's the actual time to kill on a hulk, cannon tower, or tank?
How long per shot do you have to expose yourself to enemy fire?

How does that compare to other options?

Rail gun is garbage, and if you're saying otherwise you're just lying to defend the game, and not doing any newbies any favors by trying to convince them to take it.

The issue is, the people I would be attempting to convince with the evidence will not allow the evidence to convince them.

Showing them the facts is just going to harden their minds against those facts and further entrench them in their existing position. This is the backfire effect.

The only way to counter that is offer them some minor assistance in finding the facts themselves.

If they truly believe they are correct, they have no reason to avoid that fact finding.
They believe it will just support their existing position.

If they already know they are wrong and arguing for an ulterior motive, they have no reason to seek facts.

Either way offering them a set of facts is counter productive.
