Stratagems should not count to your kill count.

This is drives me crazy why this would count as kills to a player. Remove this and put in a bonus for kills that you actually hit with guns.

I mean. If you call a fcking helicopter in a FPS game, than kills are for you. So you are incorrect.
But at same time. Correct because its TECHNICALLY not you KILLING THEM by pressing finger on gun.

But again. Are kills considered yours as you "summoned" and "threw beacon" in correct position ? I mean, i/gamers would feel good seeing (40)kill counts go up because you sacrifice-run into a group of bugs and call a 500kg on your feet so team can escape.

So the true solution to your problem would be to keep "total kills" than add "stratagem kills" stat + "gun kills" stat

Are people basing team contributions based on the kill count? I can rack up an easy 500+ if I just stay near a Hunter nest and have laser weapons at the ready. But it translates to zero slips....

I can also look like a griefer if I kill myself with the Eagle 500kg because the total damage still counts, despite having 0 accidentals.

This just comes off as someone who is salty that people making use of stratagems are getting most kills over them.

No, stratagem kills are just as valid as gun kills and are just as much if not more help to completing the objectives. I have lost count of how many times completing an objective or a successful extraction has only been made possible by my or my teammates well placed eagle strikes.

Stop whining that your KD isn't as high because YOU CHOOSE to not use eagles and orbitals and just play and enjoy the game. A dead bug is just as beneficial to the cause of super earth regardless of whether it was a bullet or a bomb that killed it.

If you don't like stratagems, you know, the main gimmick of the Helldivers games, then go back to CoD.
