Steam maintenance disconnects us from the match?!!
Like seriously steam? Its 2024, they should change their maintenance system already. No other app I have seen does maintenance like this by putting all the servers down.
I am so pissed, this happened twice. Today and last Tuesday, me and my friend enter the extract pelican and steam goes down. This is dumb, there are many other online games which don't disconnect me from match due to steam maintenance. :angry_creep::steamthumbsdown:

Mental Note: Don't play this on Maintenance Tuesdays.

Its just like blizzard's tuesday maintenance. Except blizzard is smart and does it very early on Tuesday. Not 3 PM PST when alot of people in the US are getting off work.

It's likely the smart time for Steam to do it too, I doubt they'd be doing maintenance on tuesday's around this time for all these years if that wasn't the case.

It's every Tuesday, same time, for nearly 2 decades now.

Steam is a distribution platform. Not "exactly" a service provider. They KNOW when things are planned to go down, yet they do not plan for this eventuality?

I will blame this on the devs relying on Steam servers...k?

Talk to Steam.
Their system, their downtime, their decision. Arrowhead is just along for the ride.
The ♥♥♥♥ they are... PLENTY of live service games are available during steam "down time".
It's not steam, its games fault for disconnecting us due to steam's maintenance. Cause many other game's out their like Call of Duty, Halo don't do this.

You are VERY right here.

All clients and servers need to be down for a maintenance period, that's how scheduled maintenance works.

I play WoW, and Blizzard has their weekly maintenance scheduled every Tue night/Wed morning, so I remember not to play WoW during that period of time.

Valve has theirs every Tue Evening, so I remember not to play any online based games during that time window.

Don't blame Steam, blame live service games that don't accompany a server for people to play on that even if steam goes down, you can still play with people.

Steam Remote Play Together still works when Steam is on maintenance so long as you're still connected to someone before the servers go down. Countless online games still works when Steam is on maintenance. There's no excuse other than laziness, neglect and lack of attention on a developer's part when their game is a live service.

MMORPGs are never affected by Steam being down. (For obvious reasons)

Yes and no other App is anywhere CLOSE as well maintained and functional as Steam. Get over it. It happens every tuesday around this time

Does the rubber just taste good, or what? As stated, there are plenty of games, AAA, independent, even otherwise that does not determine their player base will not be, at least trying, to play during their distributors "down time". Especially with PvE games.
