If the host leaves on the Destroyer, the lobby disbands. If the host leaves mid-mission, you get host migration. Incidentally, the network host can migrate independent of the lobby host.
Every time a host has left in the field before I've either crashed or been booted back to the destroyer after a couple of seconds freeze.
Right, and the game is also really buggy :) I forgot to mention that bit. Host migration can fail and screw up all sorts of things - like crash you to desktop. Normally, though, the game will attempt to migrate host.
Helldivers devs aren't even trying to please gamers, they are struggling with the obsolete graphics engine which the OG developer abandoned like 7 years ago
