Let's think about this for a moment.

Sony Public Relations managed to stop the bad PR, bad Reviews and Refunds before the upcoming Sony Quarterly Earnings Call.

The only thing it cost them is:
A. A Twitter Post, and
B. Delaying the Mandatory PSN Linking (Unless they post otherwise IN STEAM, this is only a delay).

Too many of the community rewarded them with positive reviews before they actually DID anything that would be permanent in Steam. This would be revoking the 177 regions that are currently blocked to buy the game that was implemented on May 4th, changing the Helldivers 2 Steam Page to show that PSN is OPTIONAL, and posting a news article under the game's Steam News stating that going forward the ability to link a PSN account is optional and only required for PS5 Cross Play.

Until these things are done we as a community was played by Sony Public Relations and we completely fell for it.

and they fixed the line in the PSN's FAQ saying it might be required.
As well as blocking non PSN countries (and issuing refunds probably)

The reason they delayed the update was due to issue with the legality of the update. they ned more groundwork to do so.

- They need to remove the player who can't have PSN

- they need to remove the discrepancies with their website saying it's optionnal

- and they need to update the EULA/TOS so that the continuous use of helldiver2 imply consent to something like "yes i accept that i must have a PSN account"


else they can't force it. But since they haven't reverted anything... obviously they will push it again. Based on the reaction to the community to ONE tweet with not action: they just need to add 100 supercredits and the community will complain if you do not take 120s to create an account

Justification for a refund right there in the EU and steam will get pissed off all over again.

They can say they only said they were not going forward with the plan for May 6 & May 30th. Nowhere in that twitter post did they say they were not going to bring it up again. In fact their "future plans" line was vague enough that they can say doing this again in the future (when they are prepared) was all part of their future plans.

It's huge because they need to remove that line before they can do ANYTHING else.
they can't reactivate the selling of the game (no , it's not STEAM's role) in thoses regions as long as that line is there. They leggaly can't

Are you surprised? For most people the battle is over, there's no point in retreading the same topic over and over for the rest of the month rather then talking about the game.

Is so sad to see people calling ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out of AH CM's but when the Sony CM steped up they just go like "Understandable, have a great day"
