WHAT HAPPENED ?
Really tho. What happened to the steam reviews. I have read some articles but didnt get it. There must have been a huge disappointment obviously because of the review bomb. So what really happened that made people to review bomb the game.

Players got mad and review bombed. Sony apologized today and said they'd make changes to not have this happen.

no review bomb occurred.
Sony is attempting to extort customers.

So you read about it and you don't get it? What is there not to get? Sony had Valve sell the game in Territories that have no PSN. Arrowhead had to disable the PSN sign up due to the backbone issues that still exist in the game, to lighten the load of the server, because of their unexpected success..

Sony decided it was time to turn it back on, thus threatening to shut off 170+ countries from the game, where it was previously sold.

Arrowhead negotiated with Sony, suggested that Refund requests and review bomb would help their negotiation to keep it optional...

People Refunded and Review Bombed...

Sony reverted the decision.

What is there not to get?

Sony wanted to make PSN accounts required, but PSN isn't available in much of the world and a lot of people would have been unable to play the game. Others who could technically create a PSN account either didn't want to have to make an arbitrary new account for no apparent reason or they didn't want to create a PSN account for privacy concerns. Others felt like it was a baint-and-switch tactic designed to force them to create an account without any option to refund the game upon learning of the requirement due to playtime.

Then the Helldivers community decided that expressing discontent was a Major Order.

Nah man, we always do major orders incidentally.
