Games that require an account other than your Steam account should not be on Steam
Title. I can understand if it's optional, as many devs have their own launcher and update service, but I'm so sick of having to log into multiple services and having to manage multiple accounts just to play games.
STEAM IS THE LAUNCHER
STEAM SERVES YOUR UPDATES
YOUR STEAM ACCOUNT IS YOUR ONLINE PROFILE
How is this so difficult? It would be easier if Valve, MS, Sony, and Nintendo as well as any game dev with their own servers allowed their player numbers to be displayed on one another's services. Player numbers is what this is truly about. There's 93k ppl in game. You can show how many are also on their PS5 or XBox too, on the Community Hub.
This could be streamlined so players aren't approached with paperwork when they log in to play a game they were already playing. I don't need to deal with a Sony account when I'm on a PC. That doesn't make any sense and is just annoying. Linking online accounts increases their vulnerability to hackers and other criminals too.

I was interested in this game and I was shocked to see the status of the reviews.
Now I just want to play another game that doesn't have this kind of drama.

I'm relatively new to this. I have War Thunder on my library (it's free), and that game has me dealing with 2 accounts in a way, though you're just using Steam to launch the launcher, where you log into that and update the game through that. That by itself is kind of annoying but AFAIK they don't require account linking. That's as far as this needs to go, really.
Another example is Halo Infinite (XBL account needed) but again I don't think you have to link accounts and most of us are on Windows so logging into XBL is a single click if you're not logged in already.

I do understand that this setup aids developers in managing their content across multiple services, but forced account linking is too far, and in the end allows scammers to attack people twice.

TL;DR: please reconsider forced account linking. It causes more harm than good. I don't even own a PlayStation...
