Here's the thing: people in those countries have also reported that they no longer get access to the game, so not only can't they buy the game, but those who bought it can't play the game.

Just sounds like more reasons that the humans who were born there, should be able to enjoy games if they would like to. Even more when they paid for it. It could help some of them cope more effectively and have some better memories. I'm not a fan of punishing people for where they were born and judged by cultures and laws they did not create.
