Even if you're taking Sony in bad faith that they're just doing this to harvest consumer data and making it slightly easier to ban players, it all seems kinda stupid and a net loss for everyone.
There has to be something else going on for Sony to be this aggressive.

Can't wait for a new policy change where you need to be a amember of a closed elite society consisting of like 100 people worldwide (everyone has to pass a DNA test to see if they are purely blooded native of one of the countries where you can get a PSN account) and pay a monthly fee of $150 to access the game (the small Japanese indie company still has to make a little money to feed their employees somehow).
