You're not being forced to create an Arrowhead Games account, you're being forced to create a Sony PSN account. Those are the facts!
Because they are not the owner of the IP ?
For a company to buy yours, you either have to be in dire straits financially, OR you willingly sell because Pecunia Non Olet.
If it's the former, the Developers would be right to try and shift the blame to Sony.
If it's the latter... they're just as (morally) culpable as Sony in this Fiasco.
You see how that's still their fault right?
This in turn violates Sony's terms of services and is a banneable offense.
So no.
Sony is not doing thier best to give an enjoyable experience for everyone.
The fact of the matter is:
Sony is selling a game on Steam in regions where Playstation Network is not allowed/supported. While also mandating as per June 4th that every Steam player links a PSN account.
Meaning that a vast portion of Steam players are inherently incapeable of playing the game they were able to pay and play on Steam due to Playstation Network restrictions.
Helldivers 2 however has performed the past couple of months without the required linking showing that the linking of a Steam account to a PSN is complete and utter garbage for the ability to play the game.
Sony does in fact should get the massive flak they are getting for the simple reason that the implementation of the linking, does not support the playerbase at all.
Heck, we should get Valve involved because they have sided with players in recent years, with the Cyberpunk 77 refunds being the most well known moment
Youre schilling for a company that is actively trying to undermine your legal protections. While they gaslight you about being on your side. After they took a bunch of money from sony. If you have zero issue with that then you should have zero issue signing power of attorney over your life to me.
