We can only hope sigh. With the talks from the community managers, I think Sony may revert this call. Or at the worst, only enforce it in regions that can legally have a PSN account. Which still sucks.

Its sad, but like you said, we can only hope. I believe that we can convince them to make the account link entirely optional. We have a say and we refuse to be silenced

Check out this video it explains it pretty well.
They have been assured that they most likely won't be making the account link mandatory for those countries, however they are actively discussing making it so its this way for EVERYONE.

Sony was never going to release this game on Xbox anyway. Sony is the publisher for the game, and Xbox is direct console competition for them. Releasing their fresh, popular game on the competition's platform would make them less profit.

It was fun to hope, at least.

Helldivers 2 might become available for Xbox players after waiting many years (e.g. Sea of Thieves - historically an Xbox/PC exclusive - is now on Playstation after Xbox ownership for over 6 years).
