This isn't review bombing. This is people reacting to anti-consumer annoyances.

1st off, its not a review bomb if its for legit reasons. Review bombing is when your leaving a negative review for a reason no associated to the game, such as the developer being pro Trans or some such.

2nd, the Developers have said that negative reviews give them more negotiating power with Sony because it shows the player base arnt happy. Sony does not look at forums, reddit, discord etc. They DO look at review scores.

Good review is legit, bad review is review bombing. Does the logic make sense? FYI, majority of the people on steam don't leave reviews. So if a game gets a massive burst of negative reviews, the game effed up.

Review bombing is a bad practice where for example a lot of people buy the game, leave negative review then refund, which still tanks the reputation and scores of the game.

What is happening here, is a review switching due to actions taken by the publisher and post made by them, seemingly without any contact with the actual developer, seeing how the developers are also encouraging to leave negative reviews, since at the end of the day, they are being paid to work, and all that network and account stuff is mostly on the publishers shoulders, that is, SNOY

Review bombing is a kind of attack you make when you want to attack a product. You can do it in several ways. You can do it with bots, you can get people to make an account just to downvote something. Typically. Review bombs are mostly made by bots or activists.

However. What is the difference between a organic consumer revolt/outrage, and review bombing?

When normal consumer on mass all downvote something at the same time. That is not actually a review bomb. It is just many individuals expressing their opinions at the same time. Every consumer has a right to review a product they own. They are allowed to leave negative reviews.

This is not a review bomb. People just say that in order to deflect legitimate criticism. Its like calling your political opponsition a Nazi. You are not actually addressing what is being said, while at the same time attack the credibility and character of the opposition. If the claim is true or not does not matter as it is a deflection tactic.

People were complaining on the Discord and Spitz the community manager told them to go to Steam and make a bad review with their reasons.

Review bombing is when the game is good, but let's say devs or publisher enraged the community with what they said or changes made to game.

This is not review bombing, simply cause of an effect. People who can't make PSN accounts, don't want to and until now did not have to link one feel that its unfair Sony suddenly made it mandatory months later.
