Sony has backed down and, according to Arrowhead, has already begun looking for a solution for players in regions where PSN is not available. If it is not found, the requirement for mandatory linking of accounts will simply be canceled.

Don't get your hopes up too soon.
With big corpo only time when you can relax a little is after official announcement of final decision.
And I empasise on "a little", since with them no decision is actually final.
That is a huge trust breach for the game.

no.... ofcourse psn works in my country, but sony issnt a thrustfull partner, they have over 7 databreaches in last 10 years.... they give a ♥♥♥♥ of our bio-face-camera-thingy-♥♥♥♥..... sony is absolut ♥♥♥♥

i have no idea what you are talking about , sony is a corporation who F´ed up more times that we can count , they will not back down
they will just make it mandatory in countries where it is available and cook something similar disgusting for ppl in countries where psn isnt available
