Was there a sign about the PSN in the store?
Actually, the whole question is about the topic. It's interesting to observe all this happening, but I'm more interested in the technical aspect: whether there was a notice about PSN before the release or at the time of the release in the Steam store. When I bought the game, I received a notification about it, but it wasn't a problem for me. If there was a notice, then why did "teh Drama" start only now? And what are the chances for players to tell Sony to go to hell if it was there?

Go to the store page, on the right hand side below the controller support are 3 brown bars of text. One reads

"Requires 3rd-party Account: Playstation Network (Supports Linking to Steam Account)"

From day 0 there were a couple of different places on the store page that said a PSN account needs to be linked, same with the prompt in-game to link, it has always been there.

"Linking your Steam account to a PlayStation™ Network account is required for playing the game"

I am more than happy for you to post proof that you were lied to at any stage

Also, and maybe most importantly: https://steamcommunity.com/app/553850/discussions/1/4206994023681197128/

"Account Linking
Some players are having trouble linking their PSN accounts to their game in the initial setup screen. They may see an error code indicating a server request problem. For now, you can skip that screen and play normally. Later—after we resolve those server request errors—the game will ask people who skipped that screen to try linking their accounts again."
A player could reasonably think it's only required for cross-play, that'd be supported by logging into the game, and being able to skip linking.

Interesting. Then I don't understand why this revolution against "one poor megacorporation" started only now.

Of course, a player could, but a player could also think that it's generally necessary. This doesn't provide an explanation.

Well, due to technical difficulties they didn't enforce it but yes, the requirement for a PSN account is stated sind the beginning.

Only problem I see, they have to solve is for people, that are from a country, where they can't create a PSN account (without false data), that's a problem they must indeed solve. But for everyone else, sorry to say so, but it's a YOU problem!

Because people are entitled and want a reason to ♥♥♥♥♥ about anything, so long as it doesn't involve them having to take responsibility for not reading everything on the page, and making sure they keep up with all updated info as time goes on.

Yes, by reading this notice, one could indeed have avoided all of this by simply not purchasing this game. At least, 'from the outside,' that's how it looks.

id say that people have the right to be mad and take a stance however if they choose to take this stance they should do so with every game that requires a secondary account or account linking to play a game. there are already many games that have these requirements, im just curious to see if we gonna start seeing people going against those games as well

The only people who have the right to be mad are those who live in countries that are not allowed a PSN account and they are the only ones I think deserve any special treatment, be it a special exception to the PSN account requirement, a PSN account created for them, or a full refund.

All the other tossers can trip down the stairs or something, they can make their PSN account and get it over with in like a minute or two if they are slow.
