Not only in game, the page to offer you to link your account comes up after you say yes to crossplay (making you think it's for cross progression since it's never asked again and you do not even have the option to) but there isn't even crossprogression available.

Thanks for the link. That is some pretty damning evidence countering the claims that Sony 'always' said that a PSN account was mandatory for all their games.
