Blizzard devs literally had no idea their PC audience wouldn't be ok with it. It's the same thing. I don't want anything to do with PSN on my PC.

I will have to wait and see what the account link gives PSN access to prior to making a decision. I was banned from the PSN due to a security breach. My account was protected properly with 2FA but somehow a child account was added to it my account without my consent or approval. This gave them full access to my account as well as the access to the card on file in my PSN account even though they never actually accessed MY account and they went on a charging spree. Thanks to my bank settings, I was alerted to the breach immediately and put in a stop payment. I called PSN, to see about next steps and they said there was nothing they could do and if I didn't allow the payments to proceed they would also ban my account. After spending a week with their support and finally being told they would reimburse me. I did allow the payments to go through and they then refunded me the money but there was nothing they could do for the child account. There were no steps I could take to remove the child account from mine and there was nothing support could do on my behalf.

So while i will wait to review the terms and conditions, it's safe to say I won't be playing anymore if I have to get PSN cooties to do it. I can wait for someone to make a similar game and go play that.

Off topic but I just realized that sony purchased crunchyroll. No wonder that service has been going turds up.

You're just in luck Starship Troopers Extermination is back on the menu. Seems like HD2 put them into gear to fix the game and make it fun again. Although I haven't played it in quite a long time, Sony must've forgotten that we PC players have multiple games like this to play and not miss HD2 because they allowed us to play with Steam accounts only and now forces us to use PSN accounts for multiple reasons to which they aren't saying, but we all know the reasons why.

Their services has been turds up since they tried to make their own woke "anime" and failed miserably. I can't believe you don't remember them spending your subscription money on not paying anime artists, but spending it on themselves to make that woke "anime" and didn't tell anyone they were illegally doing that.

I agree it's terrible, I'm just saying we do have an alternative and it seems like they are actively working on fixing the game and making it fun again thanks to HD2. So we do have an alternative, but I'd be hard press if Sony actually goes through with forcing players to have a PSN account just months after being able to play the game with just a Steam account.

if they actually improve how the game feels to play then thats good, also fixing match issues. But as its stand I would not recommend anyone to buy it unless they get it mega cheap like I did ($8 online).

Yeah they shouldn't force people to use a PSN, but maybe if you want to play cross-play then sure. Makes sense to force people if you want to connect with PlayStation but not if your purely playing PC.
