People are literally overreacting.
I think the biggest problem people has is that even if it's a "burner account" it's tied to your REAL steam account.
So?
Burner account or not, why should people HAVE to do that?
Not everyone is having a hyper emotion fit regarding this.
Those that are upset have the right to be.
I despise sony and will never play their games and or their consoles.
Their PSN is the most toxic place everywhere not to mention they monitor and record everything you do and restrict you. Lets also top that off with logging your IP's. Banning you for using a VPN. IP banning and Mac Address banning can happen on their terms as well preventing you from even making another account.
I worked for Sony at one point prior to this and after seeing what and how they treat people and the above statements, this clearly deterred my wife and i from purchasing this game today.
Fake PSN accounts are bannable by Sony's own ToS, this is why the developers are trying to push for something for the non-PSN countries that bought the game while not being able to create a full PSN-Account.
Please stop shilling actually bannable offences, you lovable monkey-brained cultists.
the whole point is, that this thing is tied to the steam account. Sony is known for its security issues, i dont want to share my data with the whole world by doing this.
These are extremely super amazingly valid points. I can attest, i was part of the breach and lost data and was owed and still am.
Do you use a phone?
Face book?
Google?
Any other game platform in history?
Is your creditcard information online?
Do you do online banking?
If all those answers are yes, then you're at risk of a data breach. Even steam has been breached from time to time, no one is exempt from it. Bigger companies just get targeted more than smaller ones.
