PSN account requirement = RAGE, Kernel Access AC = OK?

I find it pretty amusing that the people that are mad at Sony for requesting a PSN account and are afraid of their data being loss are completely OK with installing a game that uses nProtect GameGuard, which runs at Kernel level and has a history of it's own as far as leaks and problems go (just check the massive thread in the Anticheat subforum).

I never liked nprotect gameguard but accepted it until it started crashing apps that have nothing to do with cheating (eg. HWINFO).
Since then I refuse to play and tell everyone to avoid this dei cancer acting like an indie

Does it matter? the fact is that its still tethered to your steam account, are you gonna make a fake steam account too?

It’s more of a statement than what’s possible we are on pc for a reason it’s so we can stay away from this PSN or other Bad practices

I have no problem with Arrowhead studios having kernel level access to my machine.

HOWEVER;
I have ZERO trust in SONY's abilities to protect any data, which on a kernel level is a lot, from malicious actors. Just look at their history of data breaches man, they had 3 data breaches in 2014 ALONE. Latest one was in 2023.

Not just because it is a rootkit. nPro does useless R/W on disk, definitely will shorten SSD lifespan and slow the computer down. It is 10x worse than Denuvo

Browsers with multithreading on will act weirdly (can't open/close tab etc). Some laptop bloatware will also stop working (like those OSD or keyboard backlight control stuff)

Also uninstalling the game will not uninstall nPro.
