Sony & Playstation network are not safe! Don't link your accounts

So in the recent announcement a funny statement was said by Helldivers devs:

Account linking plays a critical role in protecting our players and upholding the values of safety and security provided on PlayStation and PlayStation Studios games.

Sony doesn't care about protecting your accounts/information, sony has a terrible track record for user safety and data protection.

In 2008 Playstation network website was hacked and prompted users to download malware for 2 whole days.

In 2011 Playstation network was hacked, and exposed the utter lack of security from sony.
Sony didnt even know they were hacked until days later because a server crashed. They have no intrusion detection systems, no network trace logging and no network separation. The hackers gained access to 1 server and from that 1 server had access to the entire playstation network, there was no permission layers or private networks.
The database was completely unencrypted, passwords were not encrypted, credit/debit card information were not encrypted. Sony didnt even have a system in place to detect that the entire database had been downloaded from their servers.
Sony was hacked 3 more times in 2011.

in 2014 Sony was hacked again and over 100TB of data were stolen, including emplyee details, movies, emails, source code, etc.

in 2015 the entire playstation network was taken down by a simple DDOS attack, for days sony couldnt mitigate the attack and it left millions of gamers unable to play games.

in 2023 sony was hacked twice by ransomware groups.

Dont link your accounts to PSN, if PSN gets ddos'd which is easy to do, you wont be able to login, if sony gets hacked your accounts are at risk and your personal data.
Sony is incapable of maintaining security and doesn't care about user security.
Have you ever seen Steam get hacked to such an extent as Sony? No!
