You don't actually think its Arrowhead that are forcing this are you? Sony is most likely doing that.
Nah, working in communication, this is 100% corpo ♥♥♥♥.
the only real reasons are : "We need bigger figures on our powerpoint for the shareholders meeting" and "yay, more data to sell to data brokers !"
"fOr ThE sEcUrItY oF tHe PlAyErS" "sO yOu CaN cOnTeSt If YoU gEt BaNnEd" "tO HeLp Us BuIlD a CoMmUnItY wE cAn Be PrOuD"
But the best : "tO bRiNg ThE gAmE tO oUr StaNdArDs Of SeCuRiTy"
Yeah, right Sony, it's not like your data base get leaked 2 time a year, right ?!
"Made the deal"
Without sony there would not even be a game, this started with the very first helldivers. You are just salty that they are adding something that was announced day 1, both on steam and when starting the game.
You are reading into this. Sony has been the publisher and partner for Arrowhead since HD1. You seem to think arrowhead can just break deals or contracts and it wont affect everyone working there etc. Go cry in a corner my man.
