Too much drama
1. You were initially warned upon purchase that the game will require PSN registration.
2. You can easily create a new PSN account in a couple of minutes.
3. Those who talk about some kind of digital security and that their data will be sold somewhere. Tell me what data are you afraid of losing? Do you even understand what you are talking about and use it as an argument? Don't act like you have absolute digital hygiene and don't agree to every cookie question on some crappy site. You 100% have accounts in some kind of garbage dump like TikTok. You weren’t afraid to register there, but you were afraid to link your account for the sake of your favorite game.
4. The controversial point about the unavailability of PSN in the country. I don’t know in which countries PSN is completely unavailable, the only example I can think of is Russia, but registration there is absolutely smooth. So the Russians can definitely shut up with this argument and calmly go and register an account. I don’t know about other countries, the vast majority of players are North America and Europe where PSN is available. If you are not Russian and for some reason in your country PSN is not available, then install a free VPN for a 10 minutes. Make yourself an account and live happily.

These discussion boards are endless whining. If it wasn't this, it would be something else.

Whats most baffling to me is how the same people who go on about the forum being an indication of playerbase satisfaction and who continously go on about the "rapid declining" of player numbers for some reason seem to miss that less then 1% of active players participate in discussions about the game here.

A bit odd.

Oh just wait when the grace period is over and that group of people you're exploiting for cope right now will make themselves heard too.

"It's such a non-issue that you have no room to complain"
If it were such a non-issue, there'd be no need for it, so you have no room to complain about us complaining.

It's been working entirely fine without it, there is no need for it, it will only add issues, for no benefit whatsoever to the consumer - everybody should be angry at it by default.

It doesn't matter what was said anywhere. People bought it under the impression there would be no change, because they never informed us of a change.

♥♥♥♥ off with this
Imagine not being able to read.
You don't deserve to make an impression without reading things. Didn't we all go to school?
it's not anybody else fault but your own.

You're right, any discussion board is a loud minority.
And voting on discord is pretty evil, locks out most opinions to the Echo Chamber.

I wasn't warned anywhere that I can recall that I would need a Playstation account to play a game on Steam.
I have no requirement or desire to create a playstation account to play PC games.

PSN is not available in a lot of countries.

I'll request a refund on the day, if it gets rejected I'll just delete the game from my library. no real fuss tbh.
It's a shame but it is what it is.

And they allowed you to skip the process without telling you why making most of us believe it wasn't actually required. They should have said its skipable 'for now' and that it will change in the future.

Why would I want to do that? I don't own a PS and I don't plan to own one. This is the only Sony game that requires me to have an account that I do not need.

Don't make yourself a purist. The requirement for registering a PSN account is already written on the Steam page. The fact that you bought the game and it didn’t stop you just means that you don’t read a damn thing. If you really cared about this, you wouldn’t have bought the game, wipe your nose and just spend 5 minutes registering lol. Nothing bad will happen to you, Steam will not be stolen from you, the kitten will not starve and nothing will happen to your grandmother either. There are literally 0 reasons to afraid, but everyone behaves as if they are being asked not to link an account, but to play with a dildo in the ass.

PSN acc requirment was in Steam page, it didn’t stop you and you didn’t know at the time of purchase that you could skip the registration process. If your religion does not allow you to register a PSN account, well bad to be you

You are incorrect. I bought the game while chatting with friends that told me we should play it. When I booted up the game and it asked for PSN account I also saw the skip button so I pressed it and voila, it worked.
