How do I link PSN account from steam?

I'm having issues with it, says that connection timed out so I can't even register... If the devs really go this way, what turned to be one of the best games I've recently played will be a sad farewell instead, have I dreamed this would happen I wouldn't even have bought the game in the first place...

I had to use a different game. I also have Marvel Spiderman on steam, when I loaded it up it has the option to link steam to PSN. That is the only way I managed to find to do it. I already made a PSN account through the PSN website to try to link it before I linked it using Spiderman, so maybe try making an account and then using another Playstation game on steam if you have it to link them? This is an asinine requirement.

You have to do it ingame. There is a page that opens up the correct page to link it.

I have done it on Day1, it wasn't that hard.

Then its already linked afaik. I had it as a selection when I bought the game and made my PSN account. Because I got the "connection time out" trying to auto-link I had to do it manually, and Steam was removed once I selected it.
