Viper commando armor should give you +200% melee damage, and have the "weapon handling" perk actually do something.
I tested the new armors using the dominator rifle and the heavy machine gun. There seemed to be no difference in aiming speed when wearing the "peak physique" armor versus other armor.

Also, the +50% melee feels like a joke. Scavengers still usually take 2 smacks to kill whether or not you're using the armor. How about we get triple melee damage instead? Hunters tend to take at least 4 melee hits without the melee bonus anyway, so it's not like we're going to be trivializing them even with triple melee damage.

They clearly messed up the melee bonus, and they've been very quiet this week

When a bonus is situational it needs to be large for it to be worthwhile. How often do we use melee? Maybe once or twice a mission on average? They could have made it a lot better.

currently it actually make weapon handling worse if you equip that armor. the perk is a joke and glitch. if you use that armor you are griefing your team

Honestly even if the melee bonus was 200% its not good, the only way this armor perk will be worth it is if they did the following
Have weapon handling actually handle correctly, and give a legitimate boost. Im talking like the HMG should handle like the LMG and the LMG shoud handle like a stalwart.

50% melee damage but it also applies to knives as well.

Doubt it. If it 1-tabs scavengers, doesn't mean it'll do anything vs warriors and above.
Hunters tho... I find weird pleasure by slapping them with my Senator.

Is it the weapon youre holding supposed to modify the damage you do with melee attacks against "enemies"?

For democracy (boredom) i was pounching civilians during a mission and I noticed if i melee a civilian holding a small weapon like a pistol or a shotgun they need 2 melee attacks to die. But if i was holding a quasar cannon a single melee attack was enough to kill them.

I "tested" it only against civilians.

I wish the melee buff was a lot better and that the light armour had stealth so you could more easily infiltrate and take out enemies with melee.

Once again Arrowhead proves to be rather bad at balancing and testing.

melee damage should just not be a thing. Its basically a wasted perk.

It's fine when you have nothing else or are using weapons that aren't good at close up, haven't reloaded, or going for stealth kills to avoid enemies aggroing.

As it is right now yes it's a waste.

The issue lies with the bonus itself. Even making it 300% makes no differences...

The bonus should just be "10x".

If you count the bonuis.. it is 50% and 50% of SMALL becomes SMALL+.
(had to use SMALL as "damage target" as we don't know how much is it in numbers).

Let's say the damage is 10. 50% is 15. It makes no differences at all. BUT with a DIRECT multiplier it would really be usefull... 10x of 10 is 100. Compared to 15 is way better.
