My personal ranking would be:
1.Cutting Edge
2. Democratic Demolition
3. Steel Veterans and Polar Patriots; they're roughly equal so get whichever one has the guns that tickle your fancy more.
Viper should be your last buy assuming you get it at all.
Only the original one and steel veteran.
Get either Cutting Edge or Democratic Detonation then. In my opinion Cutting Edge is better.
I always focus on weapons, boosters, armor. In that order.
Now, in my (biased) opinion I see these as the most worthwile on each warbond.
Steeled Veterans:SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary, JAR-5 Dominator
-These are your all around weapons for bugs and bots, respectively.
Helldivers Mobilize: Hellpod Space Optimization, Vitality Enhancement, UAV Recon Booster, Stamina Enhancement, Muscle enhancement
- Great all around boosters
Cutting Edge: Localized Confusion, LAS-16 Sickle, G-23 Stun
- Sickle is basically an unlimited ammo assault rifle, booster is nice sometimes, and the stun grenade can offer more versatility than regilar grenades
Democratic Detonation: GP-31 Grenade Pistol
- Exactly what it says, with this gun you have long range grenades while also being able to carry more specialized grenades in your grenade slot
Polar Patriots: G-13 Incendiary Impact, SMG-72 Pummeller
- Fast area DOT grenade, the smg is excellent for stagger.
Viper Commandos: SG-22 Bushwhacker, Experimental Infusion
- 3 shot shotgun handgun, the booster makes you run faster when you heal.
Armor depends on your style, but my preferred armors are from the Superstore: B-08 Light Gunner, FS-38 Eradicator, CM-21 Trench Paramedic.
- SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary. Great main weapon against bugs. With it, you can quickly take down a lot of small enemies really quickly. Including the Hunters that are pretty much the main threat when facing bugs. Against more tanky enemies, it'll still do a fairly good job as well. However it's less useful when you're fighting against bots.
- JAR-5 Dominator. It's pretty much the opposite of the Breaker Incendiary. It's great against bots, weaker against bugs. With it, you can quickly destroy Devastators = the main threat when facing bots (in particular the ones with a shield). No need to aim for the head in particular. It's often easier to target their legs. Two shots and baam. Devastator is gone.
Democratic Demolition:
- GP-31 Grenade Pistol is the most important weapon in that Warbond. A secondary weapon that can close bugs holes and destroy bots facto? Niiiiiiiiice. It'll allow you to basically have more "grenades"... OR to select a different type of grenades (ex: Stun grenades that you couldn't use before because you had to keep explosive ones to close/destroy holes/facto).
Cutting Edge:
- G-23 Stun. Probably the best grenade that you can use. It'll allow you to stun Hulks, Chargers, group of enemies, ...etc. With it, you can get away from a dangerous situation, buy some time to defend an objective, or get close to an enemy in order to target their weakness (ex: stun Hulk => Autocannon => 2x shots in the eye = Byebye Hulk!)
If you go any fire damage or DoT damage type guns make sure you're always host as there are a lot of weird bugs with not being host and alot of them they fix have been with DOT damage and fire damage.
I'd probably go
1. Steeled Veterans
2. Democratic Detonation
3. Viper Commandos
4. Polar Patriots
5. Cutting Edge
1. Steeled Veterans has very good weapons, including the classy Senator, the slaughtering Breaker Incendiary, and the dominating... dominator. All of it's armor sets also come with servo assisted perks, which lets you throw grenades and strategems further and with more velocity which can be useful albeit a tad niche
2. Democratic detonation has a decent rifle, grenade pistol with gives you a lot more versatility with grenade and support weapon choices and the crossbow and eruptor which can be pretty good and the eruptor can close bug holse, and it also has thermites which I don't see many people running but I quite like them as they have a bit of armor burn-through and can be used to close bugholes. It's armor sets are all also great with engineering kit on two of them, and Fortified on one of them. Which are imo both the best passives.
3. Viper Commandos has the best warbond boost, a pretty decent rifle, a great sidearm and drippy armor sets, but their passives I think are bugged right now. A pretty safe bet for a warbond as nothing in it is especially bad and it's drip factor kinda makes up for any of it's few downsides.
4. Polar Patriots gets a good rifle, a good smg, and a pretty good pistol and a distinctly crappy plasma weapon that's basically unusable and a pretty good but not very often used boost, and some decent armor, one having servo assisted, one having fortified and one having scout. So you get a good mix of playstyle choices from it.
5. Cutting Edge gets a decent energy rifle, good stun grenades, but a niche shotgun, and a plasma launcher that sits on the fence between niche and bad and an absolutely terribly laughable sidearm that pretty much everyone has completely forgotten it even exists in the game. It's armor passives are also laughably useless. I put this at the bottom primarily because it's armor is basically pointless. It's boost, localized confusion can be good
