Arrow Head Discord needs new mods.

Dear god this is completely unacceptable and an abuse of power, they just need new mods that dont treat people like this.

Oh I'm sorry, I thought this was a place to discuss things about helldiver's 2, like how their discord mods are being unreasonable with their liberal use of the ban hammer for minor offenses. Please, tell me where we're supposed to voice our opinions instead, given the discord is both the community hub AND the most direct way to talk to AH... The people you'd normally report moderator overreach to. Use the pound or so of muscle between your ears and think for a change.

I mean, I could get a friend to screenshot the ban for me. As for the reason for it, that's a bit murkier; if you squint and don't read context at all, what I said could have been vaguely taken as a threat of violence. However, the person I replied to was literally calling for "open season against furries" so you can judge for yourself on the merits of whether I should have responded in kind. But the real problem is that the mods swing ban hammers where a mute or timeout would more than Suffice, especially for first time offenders.

The discord is a mistake, using it as a primary hub for a community is just bad. Every other social media has to cannibalise the Discord to find info from it. Especially when it comes to devs replying to bespoke messages.

My thoughts exactly, mods on discord constantly power trip and relying on a place that most people avoid for "community feedback" is a mistake. Wonder why nobody likes the changes you're making? Because you get your advice from a curated minority which can't be critical out of fear of repercussions.

Mods have the same problem as politicians. Someone who wants to moderate other people... is a moralistic A hole be default. Someone who was wise and humble would hesitate to control others... but not you discord mod, you signed up to control others lol
