However I assume what they mean by "free" is you can earn premium currency in the game so it's technically free but you can pay money to lessen the time sink just a bit if you don't have enough premium currency to get it "right now". However you're still going to farm those medals and samples which are completely free to access them.
And i amn not counting warbounds weapons. I am saying the base game weapons.
Also? Now that servers are handled, CEO has stated many times that they will focus on gameplay.
That's not a variety problem, it's a balancing problem.
If you're discounting a majority of the guns in the game, sure, there's not a lot there. Kind of like saying "this game doesn't have lots of content" but only playing the tutorial mission over and over.
More than 4 things are definitely viable... It is just that people do what is the easiest most comfortable thing for them once they figure out what works. It is human nature. Try to experiment and you will realize that there is multiple solutions for any given problem. Most of this requires actual team work and coordination of loadouts though. Which does happen with most veteran players. No one is going to blame you for not taking railgun/shield/500kg at Helldive. It's the people on Extreme that think they are elite who will take issue with this. One person taking Flamethrower, or HMG, reduces the need for cluster bombs/poison/etc and allows for another person to focus on armored bugs/mechs.
Being able to quickly eliminate patrols is mandatory if you want an easy time, and quite doable with the right tools. Unless you like running around like a chicken the whole match due to constant bug breaches/reinforcements, which seems like its 80% of the player-base atm lol.
but its my point of view, i do think its a small number of weapons. I was just asking..
The grand total number of weapons isn't that high, but the biggest problem is the lack of balance.
We could already have a good variety of tools to deal with close range, long range, swarm, light armored, etc... Yet we all use the breaker because it does it all and usually better than anything else.
We'll have an additional warbond every month with new stuff.
Will we ever get balance? Only time will tell, but there's no point to give us more weapons if the breaker is still the only good one.
Socialism? That's heresy. Brothers, advance! <pif paf>
