My character keeps turning to face me?!

Whenever I am on my ship and move around the ship my character turns to face me as soon as I stop. Why is that and can i stop it. If I run towards camera (S key) then stop it remains facing the camera. It seems a bit more ambiguous when I walk on a diagonal, but general turns to face the opposite direction it was walking as soon as I stop.

Anyone else having this happen? On planet it doesn't seem to do it.

Sounds like joystick drift from another plugged in input device. Unplug any other controllers you have plugged in and report back.

The issue seems to have gone away naturally. It might be a coincidence...but I was also having issues where I couldn't interact with the consoles sometimes. I would interact and maybe hit one directional arrow of the code and get bumped right off of it.

I reassigned the keys for stratagems (and console interaction) to the arrow keys instead of WASD and both issues have not returned.

For what it's worth I DID have a controller plugged in and not being used. It still is plugged in and not being used.

Did you use the controller inbetween? I def instantly thought of stick drift

Yeah, he's judging you for even owning a controller.

I'm having the same issue. Trying to play on keyboard and mouse is very frustrating when I keep rotating to face the screen. There are no issues with the controller though idk what happened

I have a controller connected. I'll try unplugging it while booting the game.

Unplugging the controller and relaunching the game fixed it. Thank you. I would've left my controller plugged in the entire time wondering wtf.
