What happens to samples on the person you kick from a match?

Ran full 40 minute mission clearing every objective and had the 5 supers + a bunch of common/rare on me and then get a black screen a minute before the ships coming in and load into my ship.

Didnt say I was kicked but find it rather odd as Ive not ran into this one before so it made me curious what happens to the samples someone has on them if you do kick them? They just drop right there free for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to scoop up while trolling the rest of the team?

As far as I know, you lose the samples.

You drop these sample and if they pick it up, they will have it. If they dont, then they will lost it. In my opinion, there are a lots of players don't know it is shared. And have a runner in one mission is good for all team.

Samples only drop if the helldiver dies. If they are kicked, disconnected, or leave, the samples vanish into the aether.

If you're the host and a cheater gives themselves 99 of everything, you can kick them and the cheated resources will disappear with them.

I've picked up samples from disconnected friends.

Good, this means if I snatch the rare samples and get kicked I at least take something with me. Also explains how a game I was in magically lost the 3 rare samples on suicidal =(
