Is the game toxic?

i keep going back and forth on the idea of the game, and may just wait till its on sale, but i have been hearing the game is overall toxic and players are backstabbing aholes or everyone gets along to spread freedom... there seems to be no middle ground... so which is it?

Pretty much the only toxicity I've seen so far is when one player got teamkilled by others multiple times because they (the other teammates) were simply bad at the game, frequently dropping airstrikes and orbital strikes in bad spots which killed friendlies. So basically it was like "my last 6 deaths were entirely because these two idiots keep blowing me up. I'm killing them back".

Otherwise, 99% of my matches have been just fine.

Yes it is. The bugs you fight at later difficulties start vomiting toxic sludge at you and slow you down. So toxic. So annoying :(

Its both dear, its both. A lot of games have both your toxic aholes that slaughter you before extraction but there are also a lot of cool dudes who just wanna spread democracy. My wife and I were playing at level 6 and a lvl 23 dude comes in and plays with us for a few hours, helps us stomp bugs and even automatons. We accidentally blew him up a couple times but he never bailed on us noobs no matter how much we sucked. It was truly a fun experience. On the other hand, ive been watching tiktoks of aholes blowing everyones heads off at the extraction so you get those too but thats life. You just gotta keep looking for the good ones looking to help ya out, but when you do, its awesome.

Went to low level today, One guy shot a barrel in my hands, another took my stuff. First time I had to TK in revenge. One left. On extract the thief wouldn't get on the shuttle, so I ganked him and left. Sadly had to gank a late rando cus he wasn't paying attention. For him I apologize.

I get TKed and bombed to hell all the time. It's really only a matter of perspective since I don't get objectively pissed about it since friendly fire is automatically on and if they keep deploying reinforcement or if they die due to being overwhelmed then it's rather karmatics that the whole team fails the mission. Don't take anything in this game seriously unless it's a technical issue like connection or bugs that barred you from the game.

That fact that everything is shared makes it way less Toxic. Some people might be jerks, but in my experience not so much.

All games where players play together have toxicity. That's the reason I never play with randoms, only with friends or solo. This way you will never have a bad experience.

I'm closing in on 60 hours. I haven't seen anything toxic in any way. No taxic chat, no toxic play. Yes sometimes team kills you, but i have yet to see it intentionally. It's fun, and as is, everyone is pretty much just wanting to have fun as a squad. Much better than expected.

That's a sad statement about today's gaming experience.
