FIX - CAN'T CONNECT TO LOBBIES OR FRIENDS

I was unable to join lobbies, or friends, or use SOS beacons. For some reason, I could only play solo. I got the error message saying failed to join lobby. My roommate was on the same internet, he had no trouble. So I saw a possible fix on reddit and, thanks god, It worked for me!!!
So I decided to share with you guys having the same problem:
"In Windows file explorer go to Appdata, roaming, arrowhead, helldivers2 delete the user config."

Edit: A friend told me an alternate way to fix the network issue

"Try to set your network card with a forced DNS in the IPv4 protocol section Use 8.8.8.8 as preferred and 8.8.4.4 as alternative DNS Restart your PC and try to get in the game again

To access this go into control panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Centre > Change adapter settings > select your network card which you are using with a right click > select properties > select internet protocol version 4 and press the properties button > you can now set your DNS card settings"

The 1 reply I see is "None of these worked for me" and it doesn't say it has anything to do with network issues, I take no responsibility for this person's advice.

Edit the user_settings.config file: Manually navigate to C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\Arrowhead\Helldivers2 on your PC. Locate the user_settings.config file and open it with a text editor. Set fullscreen to false and save the changes. Make the user_settings.config file read-only to ensure the game launches in windowed mode.

Delete the user_settings.config file: Navigate to the same directory mentioned above. Locate the user_settings.config file and delete it. Note: This action will reset your game settings to default.

Switch to borderless windowed mode: Before closing the game, switch it to borderless windowed mode. This change can prevent the black screen issue upon the next launch. You can switch back to fullscreen mode once the game has started.

For me opening up CMD, then typing ipconfig /flushdns fixed this issue.

These issues still seem to persist as I can't connect to anyone just play solo. I Have tried everything here but still nothing is working. I might have to reinstall the game again. One issue I see a lot is like when I go and verify the integrity of the game files there is always 1 file messed up and replace. I literally use this computer only for gaming nothing else. This will be my third full reinstall of the game. Kind of lame that you have to do this.

My friend had the same problem, we bought the game and i played well without any problems, we try every single method, file integrity, fix internet issues, open modem ports, but nothing worked, then we notice that he linked his playstation account and i didn't.

and it worked, unlink the account then close and open again the game.
I don't know why but it's like the game think he is playing at the same time with 2 device on the same id player, like 2 instance in 1. the first one with steam and the second one with a playstation. This is only a theory but it worked fo us.

I WAS STRUGGLING WITH THIS ISSUE ON MY GAMING COMPUTER. BUT WHEN I BORROWED ANOTHER GAMING COMPUTER AND PLUGGED IT INTO MY HOME INTERNET, I COULD CONNECT. THEN I ENABLED WINDOWS FIREWALL ON THAT COMPUTER THAT TO MY SURPRISE WAS OFF. THEN COULDN'T CONNECT AS DESCRIBED IN THE QUESTION. DISABLED WINDOWS FIREWALL AGAIN, AND WAS ABLE TO CONNECT TO PLAYERS VIA QUICKPLAY AGAIN. HAVE ALSO SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTED VIA STARLINK INTERNET CONNECTION ON THIS COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS FIREWALL DISABLED. I AM IN FAR NORTH QLD AUSTRALIA.

Same as the last comment: just had this issue, and for some undemocratic god-forsaken reason, switching DNS to Google's servers (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) worked.
