any tipps for using autocannon against chargers ?

I often take the anti tank things with me + autocannon to kill chargers but I feel like thats too much stuff for one enemy type, is there a good way to kill chargers with the autocannon ?

Shoot a leg to destroy armor, then shoot that leg with your main weapon to finish it up.

Shoot the underside or back of either the front or hind legs to soften the armour then go ham on the same leg with it after. May need to hit there twice, this is the only way to deal with them easily really with the auto cannon.

The above comment does not work without softening the armour first, you can't just shoot the leg all willy nilly.

well if you shoot the leg upfront the shoot gets blocked it doesen't go through, I think there is a spot where you need to hit it

You can kill them with it as they're turning around from a charge if you hit their front leg(s).

You need to be a chad to use it. If you are being charged at, dont run, CHARGE the charger.

Here is the trick to it, you have to dodge toward them along their side so they run past you.
BUT here is the important part DONT get up, do not get up, stay prone, turn and just unload like 4 rounds into its backside, being prone reduces the recoil so you can do it easy, drops them in like 3 or 4 shots.

yeah you loose backpack but solo or with duo there isn't anything really that isn't better up until railgun....

Dont use the auto cannon for chargers, it has a few scenarios where its good but its mainly good to use against automatrons, and nests other wise it's sadly useless. The railgun out does it in almost every other situation.

I've not tried it myself honestly, I treat the autocannon as more of a medium enemy, nest and egg destroyer with bugs. Its bomb against bots. But with bugs thats why I bring expendables and a strike to deal with heavy threats. It has a good place in the game but until railgun is tweaked to have it make sense and not be op to everything the balance of the game will be all over the place.
