on secondary side, the revolver pierce medium armor just fine too even tho its marked as light armor piercing.
when you get in 5+ difficulties, you need :
Something to kill hordes
something to kill medium armor
something to kill heavy armor
Only a few weapons can even get two of thoses criterias.
right now, no secondary weapon can deal with neither. (revolver do not pierce walkers for exemple)
So you have to rely on two weapons only to be able to deal with thoses 3 problems.
having more ways to deal with medium armor would probably help to diversify the meta, cause right now, there are very few viable weapons.
I would love to see more secondaries too, a hand held breach loading GL for instance would fit as a low ammo pool, slow reload, panic switch to deal with a medium armour threat.
It doesn't actually, I've used it before against hive guardians and it bounces straight off their head. That's medium armor and it does nothing to it.
top of walker is not heavy armor though, as the autocanon kills them in one-two direct hit. Also, sniper and shotgun can destroy the top part with enough bullets.
And there's far too many examples like this.
I'll wait with saying undertuned, because frankly it seems to me there might be issues with weapons like there are with armors.
Also, for the specific exemple of the explosive AR, it is definitelly bugged. It says 320 BPM, half the BPM of the normal AR, but this thing hardly has anything close to the 180 BPM. It's so slow I thought it was semi-auto at first. And, of course, it has almost no damage output.
