you have to aim it though, I think that's why breaker and dom are popular. just point and click.
Top tier weapons at the moment are Defender, Breaker, and the Plas 1
The slugger in the right hands can be really effective as well, just gotta be accurate.
SMG with the shield is great as long as you avoid rocket shots from bots.
Breaker was fine until I got higher teir guns.
Diligence is also good against Automatons, but poop against the bugs.
Bugs:
3 tap chargers while armored (when aiming for joins in leg)
1 tap most lower tier bugs (low level like scavs and warriors (small white tiny hunters)
2 - 3 tap most medium tier bugs (like spewers and hunters)
4 tap - Stalkers and Hive guards.
5 tap - Commander
6-7 tap - Bile Titans (when hit in the abdomen)
Bots:
1-2 tap Striders when mounted (killing both Trooper and Strider)
1-2 tap Commissar (suicide bombing jet packer troopers)
3 tap Berserker (they move a ton so its hard to hit the head for 2 shot)
4 tap Devastators (aim for head but also rockets)
5 tap (hulks with back exposed)
5 tap (tanks but your better off using one grenade to the back for easier time since they move the head quickly)
Scorcher can bypass armor with AOE but its very small, and hard to do but if done correctly, makes the fights 10x easier.
Vs. Breaker which doesnt have any armor penetration
Every weapon available to you in the arsenal is key in spreading liberty and freedom to the enemies of Super Earth!
Sure the Breaker is magnificent in close quarters but we need more diversity in squad weapon composition utilizing automatic weapons to clear those small fry. Don't sleep on the utility of the expendable AT rifles....each pod comes with 2 and they are rearmed and ready to deploy within 30-seconds when your destroyers is adequately upgraded....45 when the enemy likes to mess with our orbital support.....If you feel they aren't working then work on that aim Soldier!
Snipers.....we need more of them.. remember to diversify those loadouts and work as a team, Hell divers work in 4 man teams, so remember to mark those targets and ensure they get to know sweet liberty.
Make sure to pay attention to those planetary effects....some planets have scramblers, some increase heat gain while others reduce it. Make sure you plan accordingly and most of all Hell Diver stay away from those sympathizing bot farmers....they drop in for one mission and leave reducing our effectiveness in the galactic war.
Big limit there is it's poor recoil on the move and limited ammo supply. You basically can't use burst fire on the move and have all shots connect, it's quite bad.
It's the closest thing we have to a primary support weapon outside the scorcher itself.
